When the team has lost 6 games in succession and further defeats could mean ending the season on the back of 8 losses, I would respectfully suggest that the remaining fixtures are not meaningless, especially as league placements affect the money from the PL.

In terms of "Youngsters", they have to be of sufficient standing, besides, games against teams towards the top of the table when one's team has been struggling, are not ideal games to 'blood' younger players.Placing them in the spotlight in these circumstances can be counter productive.

They’re as meaningless as games get at this level.

You’ve spent the last two weeks arguing that the lack of motivation/necessity to get a result is one of the reasons we shouldn’t get on Roy’s back for the bad form, yet now insist there is so much on the line that we have to play our strongest team.

When the team has lost 6 games in succession and further defeats could mean ending the season on the back of 8 losses, I would respectfully suggest that sticking with the same formula that ended in those losses is a mugs game.

Change something. please! Dear god do something different.

"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

When was the last time you played any sport?
If you are going to make comments like that, find something I've said and prove me wrong. Happy to listen, but just regurgitating generic cliches with petty digs isn't the way to have a debate. None of Roy's supporters can ever come up with any reason to support his bizzarre dicision making. The just seem to spout off the same old comments that are pumped out by the clubs media relations team about Woy being a "nice experiance old manager from Croydon" when his track record shows him to be a one trick pony who sucks the joy out of football.

Have you ever tried pulling a team together at the end of the season at an amature level when there's nothing to play for? Even if you can get all your best players out it's most likely that they will be more concerend about the beers at the end of the game than the game itself. Better to take the players from the 2nds and give them a chance to impress. They'll be dead keen, and likely to give the rest of the players a lift. Human nature being what it is, the same is true at all levels, hence why you always get wild scorelines at the end of the season.

Have you ever been asked to sub and not been brought on. That really pisses players off.

Try motivating a player who turns up to training every week knowing that no matter what they do, they'll never get a game. It's the same at all levels.

There's nothing more important to a players development than game time. You can't recreate it in train.

I guess you think players are happy just to make up the numbers on the training pitch? Turning up on match day just to sit on the bench and watch the players who got picked ahead of them lose, knowing that they won't come on.

Roy Hodgson is a laughing stock amongst fans across England. He's managed to do a better job than FDB, the worst manager the Premiership has ever had. Winning league titles in Sweden in the 1980's in no justification to be in charge of a Premiership Club in 2020.

There is a reason why there is no changes made. Our bench is like something from a Sunday league.

Take our last bench.

9 players. 5 of them have played internationally, including for England, Germany, and the Netherlands.

This is fooking hilarious.

I don't think we have a bunch of messi's in the youth setup and I don't think Roy's not playing the yoof just to annoy me!

However we've had seven seasons in the PL and around £1bn quid..and we all seem to agree that the first team is in a s*** state and now people are saying the academy players are s*** as well. What message does that send out to the young lads trying to make it at the club if they can't even get a go in games that don't matter. What young talent will want to come to us if they don't see young players given an opportunity, its bulls*** to be honest.

Parish needs to sort this s*** out as we'll be down next season the way its going at the mo.

I guess around half of us suspect we are going down every season but have been proved wrong so far.
I hope we've practised corners for this game. I'm going to go mad if we have 11 corners floated in hopefully to no one whilst Wolves score from their first one.

Odds on it being aimed towards Sakho at the far post?

The AWB saga puts the "they're not good enough" argument to bed. Like a duck to water - he took his chance and never looked back. In fact I wonder what was going through the minds of his ex team mates as he lined up for Manchester United against them? Look what is possible if you are given a chance.
Hodgson has the opportunity, there's nothing much to play for apart from a potential ignominious 8 game losing streak becoming reality, yet he is fixated in his ways. These past games have been a real missed opportunity to experiment a little, what they have shown is that Hodgson is actually incapable of alternative thought, he does what he does because he is incapable of doing anything another way. It's just not there.

I told my kids teh other day that we were once really good and corners and free kicks...they just laughed at me and told me to behave myself!
