Loaners or otherwise Fulham, have given Scott, some decent players to work with . The fact is they left it a bit late, but watching Fulham, over recent weeks the improvement is marked, Additions to the defence has paid off, and quiet frankly Lookman, and Loftus Cheek, have transformed their ability to hurt the opposition where it matters. They might have to give most of these back, but at least they identified the right people.
Every team could do with a Loftus Cheek. And don’t we know it.

I totally reject your assertion that my account was a work of fiction and a 'Lie du jour'.

The tide was way out and there were a few people taking a stroll on the sand socially-distanced, some walking their dogs.
One could have a chinwag with someone from a distance.
As I have already stated on HOL, there are quite a few supporters of our club down my 'Neck of the woods'.

About the only time Brighton beach is of any use. Why people want to go and spend much time on a beach full of pebbles is a mystery. I don’t expect many do.

A good percentage of Croydon, born are spread along the South coast. It’s not surprising from time to time the Palace, get a mention in passing.

For the record, I wasn't taking a stroll on Brighton beach, I was probably 20 miles west of Brighton.
When the tide is out there is a vast expanse of sand which is ideal for a genteel stroll and even for more vigorous exercise.

I know this might seem an odd suggestion given the position they're in, but I actually still think Chris Wilder could do a good job if he left Sheffield Utd this season. They have a weak squad and have been beset by injuries, but tactically he does seem to have some interesting ideas and a willingness to make adjustments mid-game (often switching between 3-5-2 and 4-4-2). I think Warnock suggested him when he left us last time round. He is a life long Sheffield Utd fan though, so it is perhaps unlikely that he will quit.

I have never seen the chap before and I never interjected to get involved in the debate!!

Give up the act its getting boring now, im sure you randomly stumbled across some guy discussing our signings this season. Just stick to telling us what you find out about players and managers on Wikipedia.

With respect, your imagination is running amok and I dismiss your risible insinuations out of hand.
I have certainly NOT invented a story for consumption on HOL.
I won't waste my valuable time making any further rebuttals to your claims.

So, you live on the south coast and whilst socially distancing you just happened to come across a guy chatting to himself about Freedman being the next boss. That story sounds just as fanciful as some of the other managerial nominations.

Freedman's football is everything but free, we had a brilliant striker in Murray when he achieved much fun with us not to forget Bolasie and Zaha providing the excitement down both sides during his last season before he joined Bolton, he also had McCarthy, Moxey, Parr, Delaney, Ward, Ramage and Gabbidon in defence who were all solid in the Championship, the trouble with Freedman was the way he walked away from us.

I was in Lidl the other day and I heard some fellow in the queue mention that his cousin from Barcelona said that Leo Messi has thoughts about ending his career at Palace, apparently he likes the colour of the shirt.

There is no doubt that Dougie, and Parish, had put together a decent little side , before he jumped ship.
But the Premiership 8 years on is a completely different kettle of fish.
This Palace team could not be seen as sophisticated . But so much of the opposition can claim to be, and actually are in football terms. Sophisticated or otherwise just organising well enough to to compete requires a certain degree of sophistication, not easy to detect with back to wall, but certainly more than Dougies team possessed 8 years ago.
