I used to put the manager's name in front of Red and Blue but got fed up with changing it. If someone cool becomes our manager then maybe..

Red and Blue Army!

I suspect Roy wanted Schlupp to look after Mitchell so Eze (our only creative attacking midfield option) was sacrificed. The only Palace player on the pitch who can see a pass (Jairo) was far too occupied firefighting in front of the back 4, but on the rare occasions he had the space to be creative did some decent stuff.

The Schlupp tactic worked and reduced Lamptey’s effectiveness.
The problem is that many teams play with an attacking threat down the right.
Does this mean Eze has to be sacrificed each time we play such a team?
As a long term Roy observer I don’t believe he will play Eze in a central midfield position.
This means the only positions available to him are wide midfield in a 4-4-2 or further forward supporting a lone striker- a tactic Roy doesn’t usually employ.
I do fear for Eze’s development under Roy.

Eze should,in order to fulfil his huge potential, joined one of the many clubs after him, better equipped than Mr Hodgson to develop him as a player, rather than stagnate on the bench under this chump.

Spot on. Instead of putting them on the back foot with Eze we just invited attack after attack down the right.

Roy has to teach eze how to be a DM and defend diligently. Flair gone, job done.
Nice one roy.

Eze made his name at QPR as a central attacking midfielder with licence to express himself.
He will now have to play in a strait-jacket in a rigid 'Shape' and this system doesn't play to his strengths.
Square pegs and round holes spring readily to mind.Doesn't appear to be Hodgson's type of player.

Sorry to be boring - saying the same words time after time - but I do think that we have set out our stall well to attract our next manager. The question is who will say the words "out you go, show me what you can do" can be expected to produce great CPFC results. COYP
