I am sure someone has produced a trend analysis which demonstrates whether the incidence is increasing or declining. Sure. Like a team losing every game 2-0 saying it could've been 4-0.

Great spot Teddy - not too many remainers commenting on that and the fact that we (somehow) seem to be avoiding it ourselves!

Yup and never good for the rest of us either due to the knock on. Interestingly the IMF got it wrong again. Only a few months ago it predicted we would be in recession and Germany would be fine. I can't for the life of me understand why politicians take IMF forecasts seriously they the OBR and the BOE have a terrible track record and yet their pronouncements are treated like the sermon on the mount. The only thing they are good for is looking back and telling us how the economy fared.

Germany will be through it with their usual teutonic efficiency. They are nothing if not bold getting rid of nuclear in the present circumstances. Seriously exposed to Russian gas the winter hardship just doesn't seem to have happened. Over 200 projects started by UK companies in Germany last year. If you want the single market its probably best to relocate and avoid all the hassle.

I'm not going to see my GP anymore. I heard that seeing your Doctor affects the growth figures, and I don't want to boost the tories.

UK inflation figures far too high and in food especially, due to brexit. Brexit food trade barriers have cost UK households around £7bn. 'extra barriers on EU food imports have pushed up bills by £250 on average'. Trade barriers, including all the burdensome paperwork and extra checks, are ultimately met by the consumer. Really if we are serious we have to cut back all this, it has to be easier to trade with us, not more difficult.

Printing money, reckless government spending and borrowing, higher and higher taxation, keeping interest rates ridiculously low have caused inflation - ie: governments cause inflation - vote for those who propose the least government.

The Brexit blame might hold more water if Germany was not experiencing worse inflation in food and overall than the UK
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
