What part of the air did you pluck the 86% figure from?

Good luck with expecting politicians being honest with us.

You suggest that no countries can be economically successful unless they are in the EU - it's total nonsense.

When dealing with an economically illiterate idealogue no discussion is possible

I guess the question is whether the views of Mark Carney vis a vis inflation and other impacts of Brexit, likely have more substance than those of George N? I know where my instincts lie.

Floreat Corbyn,if you lie with dogs you get fleas.

There continues to be a faction on the left who just can't shake off their racist anti semitism.

The Bank of England's performance in the past few years is woeful, whether Carney should have been political to one side, his performance in his day job of controlling inflation was poor.

We would have been better off, having as Governor of the Bank of England, a fortune-telling pig rather than Mark Carney.

'The time has come for the British people to be told the truth. The leaders of our political parties cannot go on hiding from the damage to our economy, our reputation in the world and the frustration of our younger generation.

The time to recreate our position at the centre of Europe has arrived'.

Heseltine today.

It's very sad that you, and others, continue to delude yourself that this is true.

Brexit has made a significant contribution to inflation. Not an exclusive one, but a significant one. Brexit has significantly contributed to our labour shortages, forcing up wages and in turn inflation.

Brexit has been as disaster on every level, as predicted by me and many others. The mood I sense from others is that there is already a substantial majority in favour of us looking at this again. The tide is flowing strongly back towards the EU.

AKA the Red Wall. Tories more than happy for their votes in 2019.

Btw Corbyn as an anti semite, hmm? The tiniest bit of superficial research and you will see this allegation - unquestionably accepted as fact by many - largely links with 2 points. Firstly he was soft on anti semiticism in his party. Probably valid. But not him. Secondly he had sympathy with the Palestinian cause and spoke to hezbolla and hammas. As it tends to do, the Jewish Chronicle conflated this with the hatred of all Jews. Bollox obvs but still widely accepted as fact.

One irony being that one of the central arguments raised by Brexiteers was that Johnny Foreigner was over here and under paid thereby depressing local wages.

Somehow I don't think they thought this through. Perhaps it was slowly explained but then Boris said "Project Fear" and no further analysis was necessary.

Btw I do not share your view that there is a groundswell back to the EU. From recent data Dissatisfied-ers are in the clear majority but Returners are not.

Labour are likely to win outright on present polls next GE but will lose the hard left inc the Red Wall if there was even a hint of returning. Hence Starmers U turn. The only chance of returning any time soon would be a hung government where Labour must pact with the Lib Dems.

The inflation rate throughout the EU have been broadly the same as ours.

The overwhelming cause of inflation is government expenditure.

Rejoining the EU would be catastrophic on every level.

Rubbish. Our inflation is worse than the EU and USA. True, it always was before Brexit; but ours has been made worse by Brexit due to the lefty protectionism restricting the free movement of labour we formerly enjoyed.

I won't argue your return point as it would take too long to argue every level!
