I say just watch the video of her death and then ask yourself has justice been done here compared to other deaths?

Ask yourself is a double standard being operated in the level of interest or concern over this women's death.

Unless you think that each person who entered that public building deserved to be shot and killed then you will agree that neither fairness nor justice has been done here.

A lady who carried no weapons and posed no immediate threat to life. Her death was the most serious crime, by a long way, that happened on the day in quesiton in that building.

She was murdered. As simple as that.

It's quite dismaying, if not unexpected, to hear commentators on the left.....who massively politicised and disfigured George Lloyd's death then also look to point fingers at the right over Babbitt.

None of them seem to know or care that this women voted Obama before Trump, because all they see is a maga hat.

To those interested in the truth, I say this:

Don't be distracted nor listen nor concern yourself over the opinions of others.

I say just watch the video of her death and then ask yourself has justice been done here compared to other deaths?

By all means watch the video. Then watch the other videos of those events and put it in context. They cannot be separated. They are inextricably linked.

No-one deserved to be shot. Some though, were there performing their duty to protect the lawmakers from harm. Others were not, having forced their way in and were making death threatening noises and actions. Anyone associated with them and caught up in the action had, at the very least, put themselves in harm's way.

Which of those two groups deserves our support, sympathy and understanding?

And let it not be forgotten how the Democratic press praised and promoted this guy.

So Biden shrugs his shoulders and tell the Afghans to fight, as the country reverts to its previous mad-mullah state. Can someone remind us of why Biden is such a great president and beyond criticism by most of the media?

Does Biden not know that 9/11 came from Afghanistan?

Rapidly turning out to be a disaster.

Overthrowing the Taliban, who were protecting Bin Laden, was the least that needed to be done in response to the Twin Towers.

However, I was never one of those who thought it was feasible that we could impose a western society....Japan post WW2 style. It showed how clueless the political elites are in understanding how different cultures work in the real world.

We needed to overthrow and then leave with the message that we would leave them alone if they didn't conspire with terrorist groups. Otherwise we would rinse and repeat until they got the message.

However it was never just them.....pakistan is where a lot of this comes from, indeed that's where Bin Laden met his end, living near the duplicitous pakistani military.... it's a complex situation.

Western aid money has been used to kill our own soldiers.....Essentially our leaders...and that includes our intelligence and other agencies are themselves culpable due to ideological weaknesses.

The President may not have regrets, but that is no succour for the millions of civilians suffering amid war and displacement.

His country appears morally bankrupt, counting dollars at the cost of lives that the USA was supposed to protect.

And it can all go horribly wrong as recent history shows.

Saudi Arabia.

Indeed. Afghanistan was a suitable distraction, and the more complete truths about the attack were buried and classified for many a year. Not as though our attitude towards Saudi Arabia has changed since anyway. They act, and dismember on foreign soil, with impunity.

That said, I was quite disgusted with one of Bidens representations giving a briefing basically wiping their hands of the Afghan people. Basically putting it solely on their ill-equipped government and they left them in the lurch. A government that will soon fall and be back at square one. As per usual, we'd have been better off just not getting involved in the first place for all of the chaos it causes.

No, there was a blood price for knocking those two towers down.

The mistake was staying and playing civilization.

Sure, there are complex threads but we had a duty to take out Bin Laden.....which eventually happened.

If who pays the price is more political than preventative, it possibly doesn't achieve a great deal. Spending billions on bombing a bunch of bumpkins while turning a blind eye to the major players and organisation behind such an attack is a win for those doing so. The US essentially hid many inconvenient truths (such as significiant support and links from elements within Saudi government), and went on an 'America f#ck yeah!' expedition instead. Little to stop the same happening again.

But I don't disagree that the world is better off without Bin Laden and the hatred and terror he spread. It's a fair point to say that occupations just don't generally work and so if anything is going to happen, it's better that it's a short sharp shock, rather than a prolonged waste of time.
