Federalism and increased local autonomy are the answer. Even if by that logic then places like San Francisco can be sanctuary cities. So be it - no interest in going to California anyways as our hound dogs don't like noise from heavily populated areas.

From my view, its not that the Democrats actually care about minorities or climate change, or any boutique issue they cry about. They only care about power and about being the ones in charge. That being said Trump became an albatross for the GOP in the end, I truly believe he cost us the senate seats in Georgia by making the voting fraud and stolen election stuff a wedge issue amongst his own party.

The Republicans have opportunity to re-take the house, and white house in 2024 if they can offer up a coherent candidate. Biden will be 82 and on the midnight train to slab city, Kamala is only where she is in life because she got on her knees every step of the way. The GOP needs to be on their game.

For now the old trusty "Liberal International Order" is back in the drivers seat, and the sole beneficiary of the "Liberal International Order" is China - who oddly enough isn't liberal, international and maybe slightly orderly in their own revolting way.

I have no idea if thats all true so can"t comment, but I did see him getting more flak than anyone on here, like wisbech now, although wis"s has slowed down recently, but Nik did get bullied, maybe the reason he lost it at the end, and kermit resigned in sympathy! I see the right trying to silence good left side players, by ganging up, i don"t understand why as it would be a very sad site if all we could do is praise Boris, farage and the don,a bit like palace playing palace ladies every saturday(no score draws are very boring)!

Oh so I and others are liars now.

Would you like me to link you to his Twitter page where he tries to damage me and others financially? Or am I lying about that as well.

Wisbech is no more 'ganged' up on as anyone else with strong views is 'ganged' up on. We just have 'Q' believers 'ganged' up on....were you complaining about that?

Personally I hardly reply to Wisbech anymore and many times he's replying to posts directed at other people.

He was a very knowledgeable left wing chap, he got ganged up upon by a few on here and probably lost it in the end to get banned, you see the same flak going Wisbech"s way now, wear them down until they quit, a bit like watfords game plan on wilfred! A few good left side players have been lost on here, Kermit was one example, think he might of quit after Nick was hounded out, shame really, even for the hounders!

TBF Wissie gives as good as he gets but his pompous know-all attitude gets people’s backs up. Everyone is entitled to their opinion be it on politics football etc but for him to just call opposite opinions bs or those expressing the views stupid on a regular basis leaves him open to criticism imo

Amen.

Stay safe brother, it's going to be a rocky ride whatever way the political train takes us. For the short term we are going to see the Democrats and their media monopoly censor anyone still standing who disagrees with any of their nuttery.

I hope you're right about the mid-terms.

For what its worth, the last I've seen of Gussett, him and his s*** kicking brother were spending their days on twitter living in the replies of Tory ministers around the time just before Corbyn got blown out last year.

In other news - the Biden administration will probably be working off the new WHO protocols for test positivity. PCR Positive tests will no longer "count" as a positive test. It will require the secondary test to "count" as positives.

This means that we have now changed the rules as of the first day of a new administration that will result in much fewer positive cases of Covid.

Color me completely and utterly unsurprised.

True. Yes there are sensible voices from all perspectives. Often they remain silent and just cast their vote unfortunately. The online and especially social media swirl mostly involves the adamant few .

No, that leads to the death of social conservatism as it has done so here.

Historically minorities have voted for Democrats. They understandable though as Democrats have courted them whereas contrary to your stance I believe that Republicans have had more to gain by nudging in the opposite direction. As demographics change, strategy does too. Racial minorities won't uniformly all vote in alignment as that process pans out. We're not going to have having 12 or 16 years of the same party in power in my view. The pendulum will move this way and that as it always has.

Trump offered huge financial gains to non whites, he bent over backwards but still did less well than Bush jnr did...I didn't agree with any of it at all actually.

The noises he was putting out were often very 'go home'. That may well change when the party realise the numbers won't otherwise add up. I accept that he have success on the jobs front.

The red states need to stop cooperation with Biden, similar to how blue state behaved. A peaceful moving away from national governance.

I don't see this as being a realistic outcome anytime soon. At least not for decades. I wouldn't like to guess beyond that as I do accept that the future can be very uncertain in a variety of ways. Granted immigration can change a country over time, but all in all I quite like the set up of the US rather than UK. States can in many ways take their own approach within reason and have their own character, so there's always somewhere for people to fit in regardless of their outlook.

Suddenly the new Biden administration becomes more successful with Covid all at once.

Biden's a genius!

I think the Republicans must ditch Trump and re-group with someone sensible like Milt Romney.

I don't think the USA will want a repeat dose of Trump and he should be impeached to clear the way.

If they cling to him it will be a democrat future, prosecutors must be itching to get at him.

I do think they will help bury him through fear of him running again, or against them. It likely won't be in such a blatant way that the finger can be pointed at them though. So I doubt he'll be convicted, but do see it likely that he'll not be allowed to run for office again.

If his popularity dials down enough (as is likely to some degree) they'll be pleased with that outcome in the short term at least. Of course though that he appealed in the first place is the sign that they are having problems appealing to their base. Also as they won't have a presidential candidate for another three years or so, Trump still has the advantage of being a much bigger voice than anyone else in the party right now. Time will tell if that continues to be the case.
