Their ability does not fall along 'racial lines' is my point. Your focus was entirely racial and needlessly sought to differentiate to the point where you were out of nowhere suggesting that people should seek to pass on genes within their own (racial) group. If you don't want people to pass comment on that then it would've been better to omit it.

Where did I say football ability falls along 'racial lines'? For anyone mislead by your opening sentence I'll make it clear that I didn't.

This is misleading and I've questioned several of your erroneous statements already and you just ignore them all.

Nowhere have I suggested that people shouldn't make their own life choices. I made that expressly clear that individuals matter yet you expressly ignored it to continue to demonise.

Your posts are characterised by putting inaccurate words in my mouth and strawmanning my positions.

This thread didn't need your sidetrack onto personal attacks on me and this is the last I'll say on the matter.

Not that I expect you to answer because I've questioned several of your erroneous statements already and you just ignore them all.

You said that achievement comes from genetics almost exclusively, then started talking about how vitally important it is to help the genes from your (racial) group survive. This was in response to a comment where you countered that it's important to advance the genes within your group (to seek advantage).

The bulk of your post was quite frankly a strange racial interjection about who people should seek to procreate with. If you're too disingenuous to admit the provable, and claim that 'I' sidetracked the thread with race, then that's for you. I can highlight just as many insults at me as from you.

The whole reason for raising the point that footballers abilities in part fall along genetic, but not 'racial lines' is to highlight how strange it was that you'd crowbared in these ideas in the first place. But yes, I'll be making this my last post to you too. So I agree with you on that count.

Quote For example, you could not deny that most Nepalese are predisposed to enduring high altitudes.

You've offered a good example really, as there are clearly genetic adaptation elements, but also nurture and skills learned in that environment. Climbers of any background massively adapt to high altitude over time [Link] and if these same people were brought up in this environment in all likelihood that would further be the case. And so as with most aspects of life it's a mix of everything, genetics included, rather than one factor.

Of course certain factors can be more important than others (a dwarf in the NBA is genetically at distinct disadvantage!). As you say sometimes racial factors convey advantage, that cannot be denied, but often there are genetic advantages that are certainly not race specific either, or more often as with the Nepal example there are a wide variety of factors at play. My main gist is that this isn't the time for doubling and tripling down on racial differences. We already have enough problems with what Wilf rightly highlights as race specific empty gestures like this. In any case, as you say, time to get back on topic...

I wondered what Wilf was going to do tonight - stand whilst everyone else took the knee. As hes not playing wont need to worry this time

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season?

I'm looking forward to seeing him back, not just because I enjoy watching him play, but because I want to see whether he maintains his promise to stand tall and to see if his team mates follow his lead.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
