So Steve Cooper is now firm favourite with the bookies, yet the only argument being put forward in his support appears to be that he has over-achieved with a poor team playing unattractive football.
Is this really the calibre of candidate a club should expect to attract after eight years in the Premier League?

The eight years in the premier league means absolutely nothing. The teams that spend the most attract the best. It’s the F1 modal. If the Americans and co were to spend significant amounts, we would be able to attract a different caliber of manager.

Unfortunately we have lots of players out of contract and limited transfer funds. This is why we are linked with basement premier league managers.

Not one single word has come out of the club regarding transfer budget. Nuno had agreed in principle the terms of his deal at Palace so presumably the budget was big enough for him to feel he could work with it. It is his demands for staff that are the reasons this fell through, not money available.
I think all these people who keep banging on that we're skint might be a bit surprised if they knew what the club really has to spend. Although its not Parish's way to ever reveal that, quite rightly.

As someone has said already! Cooper should bring a team up and then have a go at the prem! Prove his worth!

Realistically we could get relegated next season! We will then need a manager to get us back up! Has cooper gotten a team promoted before? Does he have what it takes and to not bottle it in play-offs fight?

Does cooper have what it takes after a 5 game loosing streak to pull a result out of the hat to get us back on track? Or would be continue to loose?

My worry about lampard is the stepping stone! As soon as another job comes along he will jump ship!

Would defo have dyche as manager!

Will have to delve into those stats!
What I do know is that Dickie Bird visits the 'Wetherby Whaler' fish and chips shop once a week but unsure which branch as there are a few of them !!!!

Absolutely correct. He played for Gloucestershire and England.
I remember him with his brimmed white hat and his moustache.
He became goal-keeping coach for Forest Green Rovers whose home ground is in Gloucestershire.
