We had the Southampton manager patrolling his dugout, directing operations and providing encouragement. Matron will be along in a minute to get him up.

Too slow with passes, then over passing all over the place when a simple ball or even a simple shot presents itself, we had enough opportunities tonight to easily achieve something such a waste of a lot of good talent. Southampton attacked with pace and incisiveness, we fucked about. Edited by Tickled pink (11 May 2021 10.17pm)

At least we don't need to bother suffering the last 3 games. The only question is how many teams leap frog over us in the table. I'd guess we have a better than average chance of ending up in 16th place. That's going to hurt the old wallet for next year.

Hate losing to this lot as I used to live there. Wood-Louse just winds me up. Bill Shankley always used to call them a pub team because they were so rough. Poor, poor performance after the missed penalty. Far too narrow at the back cost us two goals. Subs were poor. Feeling very wound up being beaten by a very poor team

Felt sorry for Ward tonight having to keep covering for Koyoute. I like him but I’m still shocked that Kelly hasn’t played a single Prem minute this season!

We’re not going to have the money to rebuild the squad so relegation looks very likely to me. I’m even starting to think that Roy might actually still be with us next season as I can’t see any manager fancying it, I know I wouldn’t. It seems an impossible task.
