And how does the US respond? By saying how it is sharing intelligence with the Taleban. And how the Taleban have actually prevented attacks (and this is from the Pentagon tonight). Followed up by Biden saying that despite these terror attacks they will not be leaving the airport until the date the Taleban told them to leave it on? Come on. You are smart enough to see through this bulls***. Could it be suggested that a press release from the Pentagon, clearly designed as damage limitation, doesn't mean that the national press will follow the same line. Obviously there is considerable contact between the US military and the Taliban. How reliable and consistent that is doubtful in the real world. I think many media commentators have poured scorn on the suggestion that the Taliban are reliable. Perhaps you are seeing advantages that aren't really advantages but actually large negatives. Outside of damage limitation attempts no one is soft balling the Taliban in the media, not even Biden and indeed, lots of aggressive commentary is being made on all sides towards them. Just my take. Finding it all out is just depressing. No, Europe won't save the Palestinians......though I can't see that situation ending well for anybody.

The utopian dream of Blair and Bush to police the world and make it behave western style is now at an end. So twenty years of angst frustration death and massive costs for America is now coming to an abrupt end. Afghanistan has allowed the Taliban to walk in totally unimpeded and take the reigns. So I suppose at best you have to say there dream was for what? A total failure?

And let’s be honest. This as always is financially driven. Besides the poppies, Afghan is rich in many other resources including oil. Deals will have been done to fund the exit and deals will be done with Russia and China moving forward. And with regard to the people, there are c.40 million Afgies. I don’t see a very high percentage up in arms over this. Clearly the vast majority are not objecting. So where has the cash for the past twenty years gone? Out the back door with the departed leaders i would suspect.

Now confirmed that the US handed a list of us nationals, green card holders & those that have helped the US over to the Taliban so they can help find them. This is treason surely? Biden & his progressive administration need to go but Republicans are far too f***ing weak to impeach him. Interesting tit bit I keep reading

The only thing clear to me , is that bombs have gone off, and people have been killed and injured. It is all wild speculation from the media, who are finding verifiable facts thin on the ground. Different media are quoting anywhere from "more than fifty" to "at least a hundred and twenty" killed I'm sure Hollywood and Tom Cruise are ready to start production on this.
