Not for me he wouldn't, would like to see O'Brien or Rich-Baggypants get a game, they are 20 and 22, not 16, time to get them assessed.

would love to see Imray get a chance if he is fit - he looked very impressive last season until his injury; went from trialist to becoming a stand out player both in defense and going forward. Definitely a diamond in the rough!

The U23s have a game on Friday night, I'd be surprised if loads of them play in this - especially with first team players light on minutes. Butland Clyne/Ward Kelly Tomkins Hannam Luka Jairo Kouyate Ayew Mateta Rak-Sakyi U23s on bench Edited by ambrose7 (22 Aug 2021 6.56pm)

I'd go for it. Saturday's game is difficult, but then we have a week off. Butland Bench: If losing at 70, bring in Zaha for Rak-Sakyi, Benteke for Mateta, Banks for Jairo (moving Gallagher inside). If winning at 70, bring in Guhei for Andersen, McArthur for Gallagher, Mitchell for Hannam (or Ward for Kelly, if he looks winded). Basically you've rested most of the team for Saturday for 70 mins, except - Andersen, Gallagher (both only mostly played 1 game and are young) and maybe Schlupp.
