The commentator nailed it yesterday when she said "is there not a blade of grass that Connor Gallagher has not covered?". This was after 4 minutes of play.

The guy has got a fusion reactor inside him. I've never seen anyone run so much.

Brilliant. We should scrape every last penny (£50m?) and offer it to Chelsea as soon as Jan window opens!

Sadly Chelsea more likely to recall him in January than sell him to us.

And if they were to sell can we compete with oil/blood money?

Problem is he is playing too damn good.

He just looks so happy to be playing for Palace and is beaming with pride in the post match interveiws , he is always thanking the fans for the support and the noise , so full of enthusiasm .I cant imagine him playing for anyone else . Break the bank please Steve and Douggie please look for the next Conor . Also tie down Patrick , there is a shortage of up and coming good managers . COYP

Let’s just enjoy him while we have him..

If Chelsea don’t want him which is unlikely there will be a major bidding war which moneybags Newcastle will win. This also suits Chelsea as he will hurt their main rivals as he is doing this season.

I love the guy but hoping for more than this season is pointless. Hopefully PV with DF will identify a suitable replacement which I think was the plan for Hughes to replace Jimmy Mac before Jimmy decided to have an Indian summer.

He is fantastic yes and his contribution to our performances this season cannot be over emphasised.

It is unlikely that we could sign him permanently but I don’t think it is out of the question. He clearly loves playing here and is enjoying his football. Chelsea have an absolute abundance of top quality midfielders and are looking to raise the funds to sign Erling Haaland in the next transfer window or two.

I was also particularly interested to read John Textors tweet yesterday that stated part of his new Saturday routine was to ‘open his inbox to see a few hundred reminders about Conor’…The mere mention of this, from our new investor, I feel is hugely significant.

Would it be dreamland to think there may already be a clause in the loan agreement giving Palace first option at an already agreed fee?

Probably (in dreamland that is). For me the only way we are likely to get him is with a buy-back clause after say 2 or 3 years. I'd take that.

Having watched Chelsea on the box last night I don't think there's a cat in hell's chance he'll be signing for us or anyone else in the short term.

Isn't just energetic he possesses a serious burst of speed over five yards and vision and would bring them something they don't have at the moment IMO.

I'd thought he was a bit of a headless chicken at West Brom but he was obviously trying to do too much in a poor side.

It was the same with Sinclair. Palace knew their task was to give the player pitch-time and develop him, paying his wages.(or similar.)
If Chelsea didn't want him in a season , or so, then it mainly comes down to the best offer for the player. (keeping in mind he'd have to fit into Palace's wage structure)
Just enjoy him whilst you can

If the door opened to all what would Newcastle pay him/week? £250k?
Which would probably change him and his life from being a fresh faced fun loving spirit who loves playing for Palace into something very different. If I were Connor I would stay with the best fans and let Us and Chelsea do a buy back deal.

Probably won't be involved in England World Cup squads but with friendlies expect him to get the call. Will put more price on his head even if Chelski entertain the idea of a sale. Can he be recalled in January as others have suggested ? Would be a real shame if so.
