I couldn’t give a monkeys bum how much or how little he gets paid. I am stating a fact that he is fortunate that clubs keep giving him contracts while it is plain to see he is finished as a football player.

You have to feel for him. He's a professional footballer who just wants to play the game he loves to the best of his ability.

The fact that he is prevented from playing by chronic injury problems is well outside his control. Forget the physical issues, which are bad enough, the mental side of it must be leaving him distraught.

It does now seem that he has to recognise the fact that, at his age, he is unlikely to come back into the game at a reasonably high level sufficient to make a living at it. Would be quite remarkable if he did.
