Would enough Tory MP's essentially commit political hari-kari to stop Johnson reaching number 10 again?

Apparently, he has actually achieved the magic number.... so the choice looks like a) a man who likes cake too much, or Looks like a 'rock and a hard place' situation to me

As much as I can't stand any of our current Tory leadership....though perhaps the non white ones came across as actual conservatives.....I think it was obvious that Johnson was the only one with actual charisma. However I think the reason he gave for stepping aside is probably the right one....he would be stepping into a John Major situation with half the party not wanting him. While the lack of Scottish seats makes it very hard for Labour to actually win the Tories are doing so badly that I could possibly see a coalition or a small Labour majority now. Sunak is very much a creature of WEF and I can't see many Brexit voters being happy voting for him nor the red wall. However, he does have two years to prove himself.....then again, considering the economy it's a poisoned chalice.
