I'm really looking forward to all our problems being immediately fixed under Labour.

I'm sure allowing thousands of illegal immigrants to stay here and promising spending that can only mean higher taxation or even more borrowing is exactly what this country needs.

Well, the ready made excuse is…it’s all the fault of the Tories and it will take years to fix

Maybe the NHS could save money by not recruiting diversity Officers at inflated sakaries

Simple deflection. What else do you unilaterally decide it doesn’t need? Ever worked in healthcare? Very diverse. Ever been responsible for managing such a diverse workforce? It takes effort.

You keep on simply parroting the Daily Mail and the Sun. There’s a good chap.

Sadly, many are easy to fool.

They still actually believe politicians.

So what actually are HR doing? I do not like the idea of diversity staff because it is a convenient coat peg for everybody else management and staff to hand their hat on e.g. that's a diversity issue give it to X.

HR should develop the policies and all management and staff should be responsible and accountable depending on their level.

Heard of the Ulrich model?

You don’t moan if there are specialist recruiters or payroll staff. Employee relations is often split out in big organisations. You need to benefit from economies of scale and scope

Payroll no because that cannot be delegated to all staff, specialist recruiters perhaps sometimes but again what are HR doing if they need them?

I do have experience I managed 200 people for a bank and it was very diverse.

Surely the goal is to ensure all staff are treated fairly the best way to do that is to ensure that all managers take on board that responsibility rather than delegating it to a department or individual e.g. pass the buck.

I suspect a lot of this diversity / equality managers is companies just virtue signalling rather than making a serious attempt to ensure the reality meats the lofty press release.

However that is my preference not a fact other options are available.

This has long been my issue with 'Diversity and Inclusion' initiatives/teams/posts within organisations.

The fact is many if not all do have diverse, sometimes very diverse, workforces. Therefore the addressing of diversity and an aspiration to be as inclusive as possible is logical from both a business and people perspective.

This highly valuable and logical approach is however lost when any genuine desire or sentiment behind it is hijacked by ideologues, those unable to cognitively process why they support such ideals beyond merely parroting what has been told to them or machiavellian types looking to exploit it for their own gain, whether that be financial, professional or personal if not all/a combination.

From my experience, and only that, the latter of the aforementioned usually occupy a far greater proportion of individuals in these posts. It's at that point they become a waste of finance, human resource and time that could be better allocated and a detriment to the organisation and business.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This is bloody brilliant - we are now 13 years in Tory leadership and I must have read 100s of times on here about the economy they inherited and the little note that was left and that's why they're so incapable of doing anything.

I honestly don't know how some people square off their own biases.
