I honestly donít see this through a Right / Left prism CE. Tony Blair presided over the decimation drugs caused to large parts of Edinburgh and Glasgow and under the SNP Dundee is falling apart. Could the money being spent on fighting ďthe drug warĒ be better spent on improving the lives of those affected? Of course, but is the will to do it there?

I agree, it"s just a deflection for the current gov under pressure Teddy, we got 10 years to fix it- when bungle and his cronies will be long gone. The fact that nothing has changed in 10 years won"t bother them, why would it? But its taking up news feed, and deflecting from the state the country is in. Going back to the op, it is ironic that drug traces have been found in parliament and apparently in bungles own office.

Yes, but Labour had 10 years to fix it as well. Itís not a question of party politics.

My point is its a deflection on the state of the current government Teddy, taking pressure off the real issues. The Grenfell inquiry is coming to an end and will show a cover up by the government on what they knew about the dangers. The people up north with no electric-for 8 days, the price rises, inflation, party in number 10 while telling people not to mix, the 47 billion, the list is endless. So to say we are going to sort out drug gangs- give us 10 years and we will prove it- is laughable.

Yep, it definitely feels like a bit of a desperate attempt to pick up some traction with the electorate - going after those nasty scary drug gangs, although not the ones who supply their private school parties obviously.

If you really want to sort out drug gangs, decriminalise and remove the need for the gangs to exist - quite simple really.

I don't think any one is surprised - the double-standard around reporting and indeed prosecution for drug use between the poor and the middle class is a disgrace.

Indeed.

It's like how they go after benefit fiddlers....ok fair enough, but when it comes to screwing the system it's a bend over and take it service for the wealthy and corporates.

People can complain about the standards but if we are going to have them then double standards shouldn't be accepted.

More sensationalism I'm afraid and we shouldn't be too quick to criticize unless of course it is MPs that are caught and named.

Do you type that one handed while the other was setting up a line?
