Roy Hodgson was a sort-term appointment with the sole objective of preserving Watford's PL status. I fear that this objective will not be achieved.

Roy may be the right person to stabalise them in the Championship,I cannot see him allowing the "double drop" which so many clubs suffer.

Roy Hodgson's deal is until the end of the season.
There will be an assessment when the season is over.
I will be surprised if he is at Watford next season but football is awash with surprises !

"Willopedia" has shown that the last Watford manager to be at the helm for 2 years was Malky Mackay June 2009 to June 2011.
All the other managers after Mackay have not been at the club for that length of time.

Albeit my only footballing knowledge these days is primarily sourced as a committed MOTD watcher. (Not having any go's there BTW just a thought/observation). Fair point - probably has just been told to get on with what we have . I don’t expect him to be here beyond the summer .
