I believe that under Tuchel we had a chance of getting him back. Under Potter, I think not and we should move on to a different player.

There were several players available for less than the £27m purportedly offered by us, all who are of a similar standard and a couple who I reckon are better, although maybe not quite as good at running around like a lunatic.

Good player, could have been great for us, but we should definitely move on.

We may get a chance in January although I doubt any decisions will have been reached by then. Otherwise it’s going to be end of season and an awful lot will happen between now and then.

The transfer window is now open, so I guess we will see if the Chelsea transfers that the clickbait sites have been promoting will happen & if they do who knows what players may become available as they try to free up squad numbers -

They don't tend to shop in the bargain basement & the possibility of missing out on a CL place will be difficult for them to ignore -
