I no everyone thinks i have lost the plot, but i think we should go in for this player, i really rate him, did great in the Championship, but has gone to the wrong club, would thrive at Palace, ready to take over from Ayew in the future.

yep, good call. I wasn't convinced last season and he did little to change my mind after his first 1/2 season with Bournemouth. However, this season he has settled into the pace of the Prem and is showing what a good player he is. With no Zaha would have been ideal for Palace. In hindsight it should have been a no brainer for Palace, as the hierarchy knew Wilf was going in the summer.

Palace seem to be blind-sided in their search for strikers. Granted, success in the Championship is no guarantee the same in the PL but I do think getting from the lower English leagues is a better bet than importing unwanted and expensive players from France, Spain or Italy. J.P. Mateta is an obvious case in point. Sorloth was not a success here but is now in Spain. Szmodics is an obvious candidate but I am sure others in lower leagues can be found. Any we have got have been loaned out and not improved much. Ebowei is now in the squad but given Hodgson's reluctance to give youngsters a chance is not likely to play. Edouard will get better but only if we can find an attacking midfielder of which there are even fewer available candidates since the days of Hughes, Watson, Bannon and Cabaye. As others have said, why waste £20 million on an injury-prone keeper when we are desperate for full backs and a striker?

I'm curious to see him play. When I saw him play earlier in the season he looked a bit lost. His stats have not been that great since they signed him in terms of goals and assists and he hasn't played 90 minutes in the PL at all this season. Nonetheless, my god we could do with someone on the left if Roy isn't going to play Franca there! The young left-winger Koleosho for Burnley looks really exciting and he cost them just £3m in the summer. Edited by taylors lovechild (05 Dec 2023 1.01pm)
