Zaha out.

Injured? Or a late bid?

Matty cash last week, how he didn't get a yellow I'll never know, rumours he's going to Arsenal are not true.

For the sake of sanity and realism I often write off these games as I did with Liverpool. Anything you do get is a massive bonus and a loss in this one does not tell us much other than those with blank chequebooks are often going to buy success at the expense of those like us. Nothing we didn't already know.

That's definitely how I go into these games. What I always hope is that we at least see a few passages where we play some good football and at least try to apply some pressure and create some chances. Wilf is a massive loss given the form he's in, especially with how shaky Stones and Walker looked last weekend. It perhaps also highlights our need for another forward when you look and ask yourself; where are the goals going to come from? Hopefully one of the current crop rise to the challenge and become another cult hero today.

He was limping at the end of the Villa game so I think it may be just an injury.

lots of people talk about Wilfs goals he has avg 5 per a season for us so its not great , he is having a purple patch taking pens helps but we have 2 strikers who dont get enough games to really prove themseleves , we do have Eze and Olise now , were wilf was lone star because teke forgot how to score , so today still think at worse 2-1 or we do get a draw depends if we can stop city getting close to our penalty area

I was tempted to say "No Wilf, no chance" but we're better than that. If Vieira goes with the 5-4-1 as against Liverpool, who'll be the 1? I'd go left field and ask Olise to play the role. So:

Guaita

Clyne-Andersen-Ward-Guehi-Mitchell

Ayew-Doucoure-Schlupp-Eze

Olise

As for a prediction?

2-2

Yeah, no Wilf, no hope.

We had a slim chance of another result up there, but it would be a truly remarkable achievement to get anything without our best player to score a breakaway goal.

It's only a matter of time.

He's cost me a fortune so far though.
