If the BBC had presented this information within the format of 'most likely theory' instead of providing information with no such caveats then I might have some sympathy for the view.

However, this was not done.

There was suppression of, what has turned out to be, far more likely alternatives, which many people, me included, were saying early on.

As for the Durham report, it has been vindicated as the FBI admitted the failures and did not deny its conclusions.

If Trump had not pursued this investigation then those failures would not have been revealed and people like you would be able to continue spreading falsehoods as you did in the 'bias against Trump' thread.

Tens of millions of dollars and years of investigation and nothing but egg on your face.

As predicted.

I hope you are enjoying the eggy taste.

Let's take those one by one.

I am not inside the mind of the BBC editor who ran the story but can only assume they did so in the belief it was true. You don't "suppress" things you don't believe to be true. You don't publish them. You might report their existence. That you think they were "far more likely" means nothing at all. It's merely an opinion from an unverified and untrustworthy source. The BBC needs rather more than that. Expert support being the most obvious.

The Durham report vindicated absolutely nothing at all. It found a few minor indiscretions and made criticisms of practice, which have been accepted and corrected. It's primary purpose, to whitewash Trump, failed completely. Nothing it said, or found, changed in any way what the Mueller report said and did. That process is still slowly working it's way towards a conclusion. Nothing at all has changed.

Nothing I have ever said about Trump has been shown to be false. The most that can be said is that it remains "unproven". Be patient. These things take a long time.

No egg at all on my face. The one who will, eventually, be toast is Trump and he can then choose to eat it with his porridge.

I have noticed a recent sudden surge in people reporting positive Covid infections locally. Several of my wife's work colleagues are off sick with it and the reported symptoms are sounding nasty and not just a minor nuisance.

I have also witnessed a marked increase in the number of people wearing masks again which seems to indicate a growing concern about infection.

Is this just here or have others noticed anything similar where they live?

I’ve noticed the mask thing but only people like your mrs and you will see any slight surge. Nothing on news channels. Tbh I’m over it even though I agreed with most of the action taken.

Not me, never jabbed and I'm as fit as a fiddle.....well I am now since I lost all that weight after my shoulder operation.

26 press ups a time, lift weights three times a week and I box five rounds four times a week.....not bad for 53.

Covid tests don't react to pollen!

These are people who get tested. Not people who think they are sick.

Let's see how you are managing when you get to my age. I am 26 years older than you and walk at least 3 k every day. I played 5 games of bowls last week, each lasting around 3 hours and will play another 4 this week, alongside clearing and then decorating a flat.

I get regularly jabbed so I do stay fit as a fiddle. With luck like you seem to have enjoyed you should cash in and do the lottery.

It doesn't appear to be restricted to healthcare workers. They are just the ones still able to easily get tested. Others are displaying symptoms too. I am just wondering if I am witnessing the start of a new wave. I hope not.

Ah who cares anymore it's over and it's summer. I won't pander to hypochondriacs.

People who get sick now are the ones who wore masks and avoided social contact for 3 years religiously. Their immune systems are years behind everyone else in dealing with covid, flu and everything else.

Only natural that they will become more sicker.

I doubt I'll get to that age.

But I will say well done on that activity level.

There have been several cases where I am recently. My boss just got it. Didn't sound nice either - she got it from the kids. Something that's happening now is people coughing and sneezing are not staying away from people. I had someone coughing all over me on the bus. I could feel it all over the back of my head. What could I do? I didn't really appreciate it but could hardly throw them off. I didn't want to turn around as this ignorant pr1ck would just do it in my face. As you do.

Every claim you make in the above, but one, is untrue. It's not over. It is though summer. I think we can all agree on that. Well done for spotting it.
