A decent performance but ,
- We neglected opportunities to go 2 up and always look vulnerable when only one in front as proved to be the case again
- We paid for not having natural cover for Mitchell. Richards has impressed at centre half but he’s no left back and Brentford had acres of space down the right to hit crosses, one of which led to the equaliser. Incidentally there were two players unmarked at the far post for the equaliser.

Yes. Unbelievably poor defending for their equaliser. Given there was 30 seconds to go it really is inexcusable. Up until then they never looked like scoring.

That's the point I was making, stop looking at goals scored and look at overall effort and input he has in games. The whole team have to shoulder the responsibility for today capitulation.....Ayew included. But the defence should have been covering.

Thoroughly predictable ending under Vierias reign.. Incapable of seeing out one goal leads.. Ayew, who for some bizarre reason was being lauded as an unsung hero about 30 minutes ago (Is it 5 goals in 100 games?) has to shoulder some responsibility for the ridiculous pass just leading up to the goal.

I find it very concerning how awful we are at retaining possession and keeping hold of the ball...
Our 10th Premiership season and we are parking the bus and scrapping for our lives against teams like Brentford.. We really are going backwards.

Would of taken a point before the game but obviously still feels like a defeat. If it wasn't for one completely idiotic and unexplainable decision to try and play an impossible pass by Super Ayew instead of simply keeping the ball we would have had all 3 points. Moronic decisions seem to be the story of our season.

Absolutely pathetic management of a game in the final minutes after a decent performance second half.

Constantly giving the opposition the ball back with stupid passes. Unbelievable.

There doesn't seem to be enough brain cells among the team right now. No other side in the division would be that careless. All they needed to do was keep the bloody ball.

What's the point in complaining about 'keeping the ball' ?

We all know that doing that is completely alien to the Palace players, it has for ages been a main complaint. Can't blame the Manager about that because it is just plain common sense when 1-0 up in added time.

I thought we bought in two new midfielders to correct our inability to hold and pass the ball and create chances for our anaemic 'strikers'

If we don't start scoring regularly we can be in trouble and the next few matches will be crucial.

If you're defending Ayew week in, week out for the last 2 seasons and you've still not realised why you're having to do so - you're beyond help.

Not sure how you can suggest Vieira might be to blame for that result although it was sickening to concede the equaliser in the dying seconds of 6 minutes added time.

The players on the pitch have to take responsibility in that situation.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I’m surprised Guehi didn’t go to left back and leave Richards in his more natural position in the middle. Still, I agree it reflects more on the fact we don’t have cover at left back, in fact some would go as far as to say we haven’t had a left back for much of the season such is Mitchell’s decline.

30 seconds left!! Gutted.

But respect the point. It happens, we did it to the Manc's.

Another step towards safety.

We go again next week.
