yes, i've heard rumours that £15m (probably plus add ons) might be enough to get him, with seems quite reasonable in today's inflated market, however, there are at least 6 or so Prem clubs interested i suspect he won't be coming to Palace.

I can see him going to West Ham even though they only bought Ings in January, a supposedly proven Prem goalscorer. He is almost 31 and Antonio is 33 so they need options.

When interviewed last week , he was more or less saying he would leave and he knew where to ,and telling Coventry not to price him out of it. Sounds like it won’t be an auction whoever gets him.

Who would you rather take Gyokeres or Ismaila Sarr? Would love both but won't happen as both would cost a combined fee of £40m minimum (£20m each at least) which I do not think Palace will spend.

Sarr would be a perfect Zaha replacement and he can play a lot of positions (LW, RW and ST)

i would rather have Mike Tresor

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

We need a CF. He is the best available at what would be half sensible money.

I agree about Tresor over Sarr. If Zaha goes then he’s the perfect replacement. I would sell Mateta and Guehi and bring Nellson, Tresor and Gyokeres in.

At least he is actually a left-winger, which is what we'll need to replace Wilf. Big step up from the Belgian league but had great stats last season, so hopeful if we do sign him he can translate them to the PL.

The problem that we currently have is not knowing what Wilf is going to do.

Although they are rubbish, we do have 2 strikers. So financially we'd probably want to get rid of 1 before brining in another.

Says in today's Times that West Ham (who else) are making enquiries.

Either that's good or bad. They did well when they got Bowen
but not so well with several other forwards who they are now trying to off-load.

If he signs for them we will soon have an idea if it is good business and how quickly he adapts to the PL.

I still maintain if we seek a new Glen Murray he is what we need.

Persisting with Mateta and Edouard will be an unlikely triumph of hope over experience.

£20 million is a good price for a young, proven international striker in this day and age.

I agree with you there Uphill- Especially when the ridiculous figure being touted for Balogan is north of £30 million!

I think Gyokores is exactly what we’ve been missing. His hold up play and general footballing intelligence is “Dougie esque” in my view and often overshadowed by his impressive goals/assists figures. I’d love it if we signed him!

They're going to have loadsa money after selling Rice, but surely their first priority is replacing him, although they do have Skipp going in the other direction? They do need fresh young talent across the pitch .

I just hope they don't rain on Palace's parade, again. Please Palace put a bid in quick for Gyokeres or someone like him!

Was said on Talksport earlier today that Fulham are expected to sign him soon.
