The Met is utterly broken. The facts about how much experience its response teams can put out on the streets is terrifying. Mates of mine tell me of being on supposedly 'riot' trained teams where some of the girls can barely lift a shield, let alone run with it. And of ex, potentially still very much so, gang members turning up as recruits. With almost none of them looking at much beyond getting a few years under their belts before buggering off into other jobs.

And a political class, for their own reasons, who don't want any kind of significant crime levels to fall. The Tories, because fear sells, and the Left, because crime keeps areas poor and therefore keeps their votes coming in. Both Tories and Labour.

We have a morally bankrupt and venal beyond belief political 'elite' who quite literally would rather see kids continue to be stabbed to death, or teenage girls groomed and abused because it helps keep their vote counts high.

I like my coppers big and honest.

One of the theories as to why more tasers are being used is that you get a female copper or a small bloke up against a big lump not that I blame them.

If you are going to do away with the big policeman and his 6 big mates nicking a thug it is bound to happen.

This is very concerning. No doubt there is 'isms' in the force, need weeding out etc. But this report is going to undermine the already-weakened authority for the Police to enforce the law (yes, enforce the law. Not seek permission from the public to do so).

How on earth is stop and search going to even exist as a policing tool after this?

Watched the report on this on the news last night where various quotes were made from (presumably) people who had contributed to the report.

One quote was from a gay police officer, who said that when off duty he always tried to avoid walking past police officers.

No reason given for this stance,no explanation of what he thought they would do to him,or had done to him in the past. If he has been jumped on/beaten/publicly humiliated by officers on duty, why didn't it say so? For me an 'I don't like to' really does need a 'because' after it to give it some substance!

So, my question is, is this really an example of homophobia by the police or merely this person's preconception? Is this now the norm, where if you think someone is being homophobic in the way they look at you, then they are already guilty as charged by your perception? If that is the case, then how many other of these instances are fact and how many perception?

Once all the recommendations have been enacted, then the Met can get much closer to meeting its targets on reaction times and solving reported crime as no one is going to bother calling the Rainbow Police to report anything serious. It just won't be worth the woke lectures and filling in forms for consent or non consent or twenty different questionnaires about if the police were sensitive to your gender or race issues.
Meanwhile the most violent criminals will be licking their lips and doing what they like with impunity.

"Sergeant, the local bank is being robbed!"

"Meh, sounds risky"

"But one of the robbers assumed the pronouns of a cashier!"

"All units"
