He's done his hamstring 4-6 weeks he'll be out. Think he did something similar last time with the French U21's

A thread title I didn’t want to see!

Hopefully he’ll be fine for season start

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

this will be the 3rd season in a row he'll miss all of pre-season training.

I think the other 2 were due to foot injuries.

He will need a rest anyway after a long season so that will probably account for the next 4 weeks. Hopefully back in full training early August could see him figure on the 12th Aug, if only as a sub

Thats the trouble with having international team players. People on here were pleased that Eze was in the England team, I dreaded it. Luckily he got through it ok, but our flair players always risk injury in internatioal matches.

Think when we first signed him he had some back/ neck injury or something. You're right though he hasn't had a proper pre season with us. But if it's Roy at the helm at least he already knows him as a player and what he brings.

A real shame though, hopefully a speedy recovery.

And with the African Cup of Nations, some players are out for 4 weeks every couple of years

And with fringe players, like Eze, they are keen to impress. He was putting himself about more for England than he does with Palace

He’s not exactly the healthiest player is he. Worrying signs that someone so young picks up so many injuries.

These are the risks of playing international games
Plus he likely did not have a long holiday - time to rest physically or mentally

Could become a risk for first few season games

Yet as we know the top 7 clubs all have back up on the benches we don’t

This is where the elite clubs will huge Saudi money can always remain top

We just survive year in year out

Hope the lad is ok

I guess he needs a rest anyway , been pretty much full on the last two years .
Hopfully back and good to go at the start of the season

And we still need a striker

And if not, Rak-Sakyi might get his chance to show what he can do before the end of the transfer window and the decision whether or not to send him out on loan to a Championship club.
