cos most of academia today would horrify the Ancient Greeks. Those who started the Academic merry-go-round.

The 'academic crash' will happen soon. We already had the housing crash, the credit crash, the Italian demographic crash,.....

next....Universities will suffer a catastrophic loss in confidence among Employers, potential students, parents, and society in general.

Housing will be the new prestige thing that people will want to chase after......not a cheapened degree in a worthless discipline from an over-saturated market of too many Universities & colleges.

getting back to the OP, is it not curious the huge proportion of advanced scientists with a Jewish background. Especially in the numerate & mathematical disciplines. Oppenheimer & Einstein are only the tip of the iceberg. It is no coincidence that many are descended from many generations of successful number-crunchers.

Ok. I see that you have an issue here. Even though I advised you to research some more. I can't be bothered to find the papers I researched on Greek history, but you should read up on the Seleucid Empire.

You shouldn't think a nation's Governments actions is automatically the will of the people.

on the one hand Rome was polytheistic and multicultural. On the other hand, we can probably identify the events above as the beginning of much AntiSemitism across the World. Certainly early Christianity was a game-changer for the Jews.

And circa 650 AD, the birth of Islam, was game-set-and match for them. To my knowledge, Islam does not have specific dictates that are anti-buddhist, anti-Druid, or anti-Viking theology.....but it did codify a lot of antiSemitic writings.
