Not sure why you would think that? You seem to presume an awful lot about fellow posters (according to yourself, old fashioned outlooks? Without these 'old fashioned' fans you wouldn't have a club to support today but dont let that stop you looking down on the rest of us. You seem to be hinting that you are more experienced than most too. I await your wisdom with interest) while believing yourself to be superior in knowledge/opinion?
People are allowed to disagree with you. I do, on some of what you say. I think you believing Mcenna wouldn't be interested in us reveals more about your perception of CPFC that of Mcenna's. His current position is good, no doubt. If he were to leave Ipswich for Palace (Massive IF at this point) he would be leaving a Championship club with a Championship squad which is doing well but with no guarantees of promotion especially with Southampton now breathing down their neck and Leicester now out of sight. He would be leaving that scenario to join an established Premiership club that has finished mid table the last 4 seasons, has been in the top flight 11 years and has not only a Premiership squad but has some very exciting players. If he believed in his own ability as a coach and tactician it is a very exciting prospect. All of this you already know, I just feel I'm having to spell it out.
If the offer came from Palace at the end of the season not much changes. Ipswich MIGHT be a promoted club. If they are its a mammoth task to keep them up. Why would that be a better prospect than joining Palace? Alternatively which is more likely, Ipswich fail to gain promotion and he is stuck once again in the Championship with a Championship squad.

Yet you think Mcenna would have no interest in managing Palace and those that disagree with you are old fashioned? Wow!

It’s a shame you can’t just disagree with people on here. If it doesn’t suit your narrative you resort to slurs against the poster rather than debating the points in question. As for your post, it’s just waffle. Roy is not the right manager for us, McKenna isn’t coming to us, despite the fact I’d like him to.

Blimey. If you think that's bad have a look at the BBS where almost everyone is a slurrer if they hold a different opinion whereas on here there are just a handful of which est1905 is one

Watched Ipswich on the box recently, one & two touch football, pinged it around quickly, looked to move it forward before the opposition dropped back into defensive shape. It was an absolute joy to watch after 2 spells of the Hodgesaurus home and away, trying to recreate early-nineties Inter Milan.

If it does not improve, will skip the rest of the season and pick up again after he has gone. Last night in the rain was the absolute pits for me - Franca, Eze, Ahamada, Schlupp, Edouard, Richards all played out of their favoured positions at some point during the game, no clue any longer I am afraid.

How do you know their favoured positions?

Although I agree with you about Roy, as in his first spell it’s become tough to watch, but you can’t compare us to Ipswich. If they get promoted, we’ll see if they’re still playing like that next season shall we? And if they are, will they be rooted in the bottom three or not? like Burnley because they’re manager refuses to change the way they play to survive

"Square peg round hole Roy", has a certain ring to it.
One can imagine Roy in bed, trying to get to sleep, but not being able to because he's formulating new square peg round hole strategies:
"If I put xxxx into midfield then that frees up the space where he usually plays and then I can play wxyz into the space vacated, and so on and so forth, genius! I can play abcd on the left wing and in his place put in rstu up front. By Jove, why didn't I think of this before!?!"

Potter would be my main choice. He is not a top 5 manager but he is someone who can get you top 10 consistently which is probably Palace's next aim and it is realistic. Last 5 league positions: 11th, 12th, 14th, 14th and 12th.

You also have Carrick, Rodgers and Cooper. But I would rather have Potter.

I think though Palace have another issue. And that is either spend more money (which is unlikely) or take more risks and push more academy players to the first team squad. For example, Palace are missing a clinical striker one that can score at least 13+ EPL goals consistently. Someone like Ola Adebomi could be that player how will we ever know if he never gets the chance? Also right back has never been replaced since AWB left. Dan Imray has looked very good this year even if he makes mistakes I would give him the chance he would also give you more attacking threat than Ward and Clyne.

Players like AWB and Mitchell got chances due to huge injuries. I am certain there are other players in the academy who can play in the EPL (either fully or off the bench) e.g. Ozoh, Ola Adebomi, Imray, Adaramola)

The Sunderland v NUFC result may have a bearing on this topic. How long will the Arab chiefs wait before putting Eddie Howe to the sword? Maybe EH would prefer to some southern sunshine to the grim north.

I think it is certain that Roy is going to stay until the end of the season, I, personally dont like the available options without a job, i think that there will be a lot more coaches available then, but we need to back Roy with 2/3 loans to make sure we stay up, and they need to be short term and most importantly players Roy likes, i wouldn't be adverse to selling Olise in this window, as long as whichever team he goes to, include a loan of quality in Return, and sound out who we want and who would wont to come and prepare for a busy summer

Monkey. If you have not watched many Palace games, Schlupp did not play left wing for Leicester, neither did Edouard for Celtic. Ahahmada is a box-to-box midfielder, Franca is a No 10, neither of them are right wingers. Richards is a centre back, starting in midfield, switched to right back when Clyne went off. Eze cannot play on the wing, we know that. That is why the team is unbalanced and unable to do anything than defend in numbers, 2 banks of 4 on the edge of the box. When we go a goal down we are screwed. Got lucky at Man City, not to be confused with Hodgson's tactical brilliance.

Hard as it may be, sometimes we have to trust the coaches. If he was a 13+ premier league striker he'd be getting a look in.

As its been stated by lots of people there are no examples of players not getting a look in at palace, but making it somewhere else.

So whilst we don't push youth in early, we also don't seam to get it wrong there either

I think Potter will return to Brighton when Di Zerbi is offered a job with one of the so called big clubs.

Cooper's stock hasn't exactly risen since he's left Forest although there may be a bit of bounce which in fairness is what most clubs hope for when they make the change.

Not universally popular but we've looked a powder puff outfit at times this season and vulnerable from set pieces.

We're not exactly over blessed with with strong midfield players or height and despite the negative comments I think overall this has been a good decision.
