I would really like us to take a punt at someone like him, Michel of Girona, or Will sills of Reims, De Zerbi didnt have an outstanding record, good at Sassulo, and winning the league with
Shakhtar Donetsk is like Celtic winning the scottish league.

So would I...

However, I'm just not sure we've got the environment to help them succeed.

I feel that with Brentford and Brighton you could probably drop a lot of different managers in there the would do brilliantly. Both have data and analytics plugged into the core.

But us, not so sure. We don't even really have a RB. Have no obvious plan for youth.

Or a LB.
Plus Im not sure what our set up is re data and analytics which both Brentford and Brighton master on.
I wonder if we have an account with Star Lizard for instance? (Tony Blooms held in trust analytics company)

I think it would take someone prepared to come in who thrives on analytics and is prepared to introduce it as part of their remit.

We need to wake up and smell the coffee.
Roy's one year contract ends at end of this season and Cooper, who has huge experience in both the Championship and the Premier league is currently available.
A low risk appointment equipped to flourish in either of these leagues which we find ourselves at the seasons end.
Time for Roy to go and enjoy his well earned retirement.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Coopers Premier League experience amount to 1.5 seasons ? I wouldn't call that '' huge ''.

Your opinion masquerading as fact. Cooper has mainly been a failure in the Premiership. He had a budget at Forest that was ten times what he would get at Palace. He also had less than half Palace's injury problems during his time in the Prem.
Yes he did well with England's kids (some would argue that group of youth players would have won that tournament with or without Cooper). And yes he did well at Swansea and to get Forest promoted. Both Championship achievements.
Its all about opinions but this 'wake up and smell the coffee' approach, insinuating you know what you are talking about, those who disagree dont is really quite childish.
I'm all for Roy going early if the right guy becomes available. For me that guy is not Steve Cooper. No other clubs have been scrambling to sack their manager so they can get Cooper in either. Just because he is available, does not mean he is ther right man for the job. Nothing anyone says will convince me otherwise based upon what Cooper has so far achieved (or not achieved depending which way you look at it)

Whilst, i agree with most of your post, what worries me, is, has Parish already promised on the quiet, Cooper the job, when Roy, finally leaves?

Who knows but I do hope not. I did hear quite a few times a while back that Parish was keen on Fonseca and the feeling was mutual. Again, its a who knows situation but his contract does run out in France in the summer and he has apparently made it clear he wont sing an extension.

If Cooper had in fact been offered the job on the QT when Roy leaves ( say end of season) given that Roy has already publicly come out saying he wont do another season with Palace, then there's nothing to stop CPFC releasing news that they have made their decision, signed Cooper for the future & in the interim period he will be working with DF on identification of new players / transfers or training the juniors or painting the fence around the academy or gardening leave or whatever.

Obviously if the team tanks over the next few games / weeks it ramps up pressure on Roy having the replacement already on the staff which may not be ideal.

His contract will start at the end of the season not now.

If Palace wanted him to do as you say this would mean his contract starts straight away so we would be paying two managers multi millions.

DF and his team does the work managers have very little input especially at Palace this has been confirmed by multi people who worked at the club.

I watched Monaco and Home to Reims this Afternoon, Reims played 4/3/3 with pace and the fullbacks pushing up, they won 3-1, and were very confident, 5th in the league, i hope that they powers that be are considering Will Sills as a possible new manager-
