They sell them the lie of 'it's not your fault, it's the world's fault and you've been oppressed' as opposed to empowering such groups, genuinely stopping any adversity they do face and doing what's right for society holistically. Of course, they do this purely for their own gain and not even for the purported causes, which is even more laughable. Nobody in the above mentioned group wants to hear that, it's much easier and more comfortable to blame others and try to have the world change instead of yourself and this is how and where they rally. It's also to nice for many to feel as though they belong to something, a cause, where usually they cannot stand alone in any arena. Trump fits quite nicely into the mould for the absolute enemy here: a white, wealthy, heterosexual man who has a bit of aggression, arrogance and self-will about him. He therefore embodies the image that the left have tried to paint in people's minds as to why they are miserable and failing - 'It's not your fault, it's his'. I'm not a Trump 'fan', politically speaking, however I do at the very least find him a great source of entertainment and an antidote to a lot of today's nonsense. As for the shouts of 'threat to democracy', it's a very similar, hysterical cry lacking in substance from people who cannot face the truth I've given above and want to call foul on anything bursting the delusional bubble the left have been providing for them. Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Parliament itself was the engine of Brexit, via enacting Article 50. The referendum played no democratic role in it at all. That some of our representatives voted against passing the Act, using perfectly logic arguments for their reasoning, was them doing their democratic duty.

That was not in anyway remotely comparable with Trump’s behaviour.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.
