I was going to start a thread on this but can't be bothered. We need a left winger and apparently Said Benrahma is on his way out of West Ham.

Was desperate to sign him a couple of years when we were linked but he picked them instead. Still only 28, feel like he'd be an excellent addition depending on finances.

There's no links with him it's pure whataboutery on my part but does anyone else think he'd be a good option?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Not unless he's dirt cheap, which he won't be.

I think he would be a very good option , should have got him instead of the spamers. Dont know what kind of price he would command though at 28 he would want at least a 3 year contract , then there would be zero sell on fee. From what i can make out he is on 55-58k per week so wouldnt break the bank .

I think it depends on who/what we are buying him for! I personally think he’s a good player but his slight frame and fluid positioning versus Schlupp or Ayew probably means he would struggle to start with Roy although a good sub option.

Also is he seen as a long term asset or more as a player who can get us the points we need to stay up!

will we spend our limited funds on 19/20 year olds for the long term or 27/30 year olds for the immediate points! Unfortunately both is not an option!

It sounds like Munoz and Wharton are the two deals most likely to happen. If we got those and added a winger or forward who's ready to start then I'd be feeling much happier about things. A big if but those additions plus a fit Olise and Eze and we should start picking up points whoever is in charge. We might even give Brighton a tougher game.

Maybe we should go down the Uri Geller route and all stare at a picture of Dougie and think positive thoughts about us signing some players.

Might start taking all this seriously one day before the window closes.
Have you noticed how even our team always comes out late for the second half.
Last minute dot Palace.

s.

With our luck we'd probably just end up with a bunch of bent spoons in the staff canteen.

That's because he tells them not to gulp their drinks, just like grandmas used to do.

WHOOPEE, we signed another player.

18yo Luke Browne from Shelbourne Utd. Dougie really is the master DoF.

To be fair to Dougie we haven't signed an young Irish player for a few days now . He seems to like the young and Irish for some strange reason . Maybe because they're all mad f***ers ( Ever watch a game of hurling ) and fit as fleas . Oh before any Knob head jumps down my throat its just my opinion and if any knob head in particular wants ffs swearing contest pm me . Thank you for your support em18 and Lanzo .

Pretty sure we were interested in the summer of 2020 but we picked up Eze instead. He subsequently went to West Ham on loan and then signed in January 2021 for virtually the same transfer fee as Eze. We got the better deal

Bearing in mind our obsession of signing Irish youth players its a pity we missed out on the one clear superstar…Evan Ferguson from Bohemians.
