A young highly promising player is purchased by the club for a significant fee believing he should be thrust in as a starter.

Mr Hodgson says "Thank you very much, but he is inexperienced, never played in the top-flight, I am starting with experienced players whom I trust to avoid the dreaded drop.He will make appearances from the bench,possibly fleeting"

Have never watched him but heard very good things. Blackburn supporting mate has summed him up as 'silky but slow'.

If he's anything like Yohan Cabaye that would be a fantastic addition and something we don't really have.

These are the sort of signings that really excite me and we've done pretty well with these in recent years. Hope it gets done and we don't get gazumped as normal.

If they really did reject an £18.5 million offer then perhaps the club need to move on. That's a lot of money for a young lad with limited experience for a club like us, especially when we're seemingly struggling to find the money for Munoz. I also think we'd be more likely to see him next season rather than this one and we really need some experienced starters right now.
