I wouldn't say get rid as i wouldn't deny people supporting their team. I do however think there should be punishment for the flares i.e. short bans for individuals or closure of that area for a few games.

Overall I think they need their necks wound in a bit. They think they are like some of the big ultra groups in Europe but in reality are just a small group that thinks that they ARE the voice for all Palace fans when they are most definitely not!

And most of their new "songs" are just dirge!!

As i outlined in my post on 'pyro' there IS punishment, its a 3 year stadium ban plus fine. The authorities could/can close the LWH as punishment.

See the little darlings have thrown their toys out again after their banner was removed from the 'upper', not going to wave flags or do any tifo's till its back, AND, they've issued a strongly worded statement . . . [Link]

Whilst I'm generally somewhat neutral when it comes to the HF, I think they have a point. Parish went to great lengths to get them into the Holmesdale end as a group, so why antagonize them in this way?

Seems a bit tacky to me.

I'm not neutral on this; the HF are right to point this out as their support and displays were instrumental in getting focus on our support. I can only assume that somebody in the marketing side of the club has 'sold' the advertising space to a company and they are miffed that they are getting 40 feet less of their name flashing around the ground. Fight on lads.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

HF are correct on this though, more Tifos. more banners & less corporate marketing s***e.

It does still amuse me just how insecure some fans are about their own support that some would go so far as to wanting the HF disbanded.

It was a huge mistake to pander to them and certainly have not made more noise since taking other peoples seats. Do they need the banner so people know they exist? SP will be getting extra income from the new advertising signs which is a pretty simple reason to have it. HF are so far up their own arses with their self-importance it is hard for them to sit down.

When I was a young boy I used to stand on the Homesdale way back.
I fully support the Ultras and having them in the middle of the Homedale lower.
Its important we keep them there and their image with their great logos on the banners between Upper and Lower.
Problem is, the acoustics are awful, but we love youand where you play we follow
If we had built a stand with a better design, the noise from the Ultras would have rocked.
There are loads of old Homesdale fans and Park Road fans who are now scattered all round the ground. As a result, Selhurst gets the whole crowd singing at certain times if the atmosphere is good. Twenty thousand plus voices creates a hell of a din.
OK, admittedly the Arthur is the loudest (where I go!) but Selhurst is now renowned nationwide for its noise.
Come on Palace and Ultras sort this out. Put the Ultras banners back and keep leading the singing.
The boys from SE25. We support the Palace
We need to all be together and drown Luton with our noise.

If they don't get their banner put back, they're going to scweam and scweam and scweam, and take their other toys home too.

I bet the club caves in, just like it did when they wanted to move out of the corner.

Agree with you.
They moan about giving way to advertising but that banner was doing just that for them. It didn't say 'Holmesdale Road End' to be inclusive of everyone it was just another way to promote and celebrate the little darlings' self importance!

Perhaps they shouldn't have turned on the guy that pandered to them especially as they seemed to suggest they spoke for every Palace fan.

Are there any Fanatics on here? Come on, own up. We want to know why that self promotional banner is so important.

I love the noise and atmosphere we create at Selhurst (although, these days I can only experience it remotely), but it does feel like the HFs are being a tad childish over this banner issue.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Are those moaning the same who were unfurling critical banners in Roy's last few games?

SP caved in with the seat moving stuff when he thought he had a free branding chance.

The current action is like people who drink in a pub and act like they own it because they spend money there.

Vocal support is fine without so many banners and NO flares
