Wasn't there a song by some bird in the early '80s called "I've Never Been To Me" or something cryptic like that. I think she called herself Charlene. Anyone confirm this?

Becky, I think the song was called "Whoa,I'm going to Barbados." Coconut Airways was the airline they were intending to fly with. I'm fecked if I'd fly with a carrier called that.
If I remember right Typically Tropical turned out to be couple of white record producers .

A few more from the 70s;
Jonah Lewie - In the Kitchen at Parties.
Leiutenant Pigeon - Mouldy Old Dough
Dave Edmunds - I Hear You Knockin'
Scaffold - Lilly the Pink
Jeff Beck - Hi Ho Silver Lining ( not sure if this made the charts, but it got a lot of airplay)

Anyone remember :

Car 67 by Driver 67 - (aka Paul Phillips)

Hyped into the charts because of the contacts he had in the radio business, he was my boss at Radio and Record News magazine and got his record playlisted on every radio station in the country.

I have still never met anyone who actually bought it, although I think it got to no.4 in charts.

It's about his days as a cabbie in Wolverhampton, and it was total garbage.

edit: Sorry to go off-topic, this should be in the worst song of all time.
