Do you disagree with my answers to your questions? Can you undestand where I am coming from on gay marriage and stem cell research? Religion is not good, I don't consider myself religious, much to your amazement I am sure. Religion is following a set of rules in order to please god and gain his approval. I simply have a relationship with Christ, and let Him guide me in my life. He has blessed me no end! If you saw a picture of me and then one of my wife, it may convince you of that too! Through my relationship with Christ and His Word (The Bible) I have formed certain ideals, but I am not of the thinking that to be a Christian you have to be religious. I think religion is seperate from true Christianity. I call Christianity a faith rather than a religion, because nothing is expected of me. I go to church because I want to, not because I am scared of being punished by God, He is not like that. Church is free will. God doesn't want robots, worshipping Him cos they're scared not to. He wants us to love Him for what He has already done (ie on the cross) rather than because we are scared of what He could do. I hope this explains my position once and for all!

with regards to George Bush (in which it thread related) he disagrees with stemcell research and abortion. I notice you have been using the word killing babies. Unfortunatly thay are not babies, they are embryos and feotuses, they cannot survive on their own, they cannot think or have fully developed organs therefore are not in a position to make desisions. Do you agree an abused women should be forced to have a baby she does not want? A disabled child should be brought into the world where it may not have the opportunity of a fullfilled and 'normal' life? A diabetic should continue to inject 5 times a day, risk going blind and losing limbs? Religion does not accomodate common sense and logic.. Thank you.

Sorry AJ I disagree simply because one cannot survive on it's own does not mean you should kill the baby. My 10 month old son cannot survive on his own. If I am short of cash, or he develops an illness, would it be ok to kill him?

Agree to disagree? This subject can go round roundabouts we will never agree but I'm sure you agree that we can respect each others opinions? and neither of us is right or wrong?
