What's all this then? Is there some kind of debate going on?

Nah mate, it's nothing really. They must've all missed the real debate on the Mohammed thread I reckon!

this came up in the creation/evolution debate so I found somewhere that explains it quite well.

God doesn't exist

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

No, this has been done to death and there will always be two conflicting sides.

by the way, why couldn't i start a new topic? it is a different topic altogether. I guess that anything to do with God has been shoved in to this debate.

God is a huge subject and I think I should be allowed to start a new topic without fear of it being thrown into this one in Gold Talk.

God doesn't exist

You can't prove that!

It is unreasonable to believe something could begin to exist without a cause

Why can't the universe exist without a cause?

Since therefore He has no beginning in time, He has always existed, so doesn't need a cause.

Nobody can prove he exists. If he does, how can anybody prove that he has no beginning? If something has always existed, why does it not need a cause?

When christians are asked, 'if God doesn't need a cause, why should the universe need a cause?' Mr Jonathan Sarfati says 'Christians should use the following reasoning'. Why do christians need to be told how to answer when their beliefs are questioned? Because they have no idea how to answer a question themselves.

No, nobody can prove he exists, but nobody can prove he doesn't exist either....

I agree, but try telling that to some of the people who have posted on this thread.
