OK...let me rephrase it then. Crime is WRONG however you look at it. Separating crimes by race is stereotypical and fuels hatred. And you can compare crimes; they simply shouldnt be done. If I was in charge of this country, major crime would = life imprisonment whereas 3 minor crimes would culminate into a major one and result in life imprisonment.

There's more white people who comit burlargy, car crime, fraud etc. However, more black people commit street and gun crime.

I agree with you. However, my comment was in response to tome's innacurate post saying most crime is comitted by white youths, when statistically this is not true. Where he plucked that from I'd never know!

1) Certain crimes affect people more than others and, from a moralistic point of view; one can make judgments about whether one act is more wicked than another.

2) Black men commit, proportionality, more crimes than white men.

3) Black men commit, proportionality, more crimes than other ethnic minority groups.

4) The crimes that black men commit are more likely to be visible crimes, e.g. mugging. White men are, proportionately, more likely to commit other heinous crimes e.g. child abuse.

5) I, for one, do not believe that black men are inherently genetically pre-disposed to commit crime. Thus, the reasons for the above must lie elsewhere.

6) The reasons for Black men being proportionality more likely to commit crime in general are various and range from poverty to a lack of male role models in the black community to class and cultural considerations. No-one can say that it is all society's fault or that it is all the black community's fault.

As with all debates, the answers are not clear cut or, erm, black and white.
