Of course, but the kind of players dictate the style of football. I prefer to think that AP can still get us up the League. Hopefully in a less of a rollercoaster way then the last year has brought us.

Its about managers who get can the best out of the players, not about the style of football. And your choice is?

What about Brendan Rodgers? Would he leave Celtic? We know he likes Benteke:-)

Don't get the Klinsmann love-in. Thrashed 4-0 by Costa Rica and bottom of the group, only ever managed at club level Bayern and that was for one year about eight years ago and again he was sacked before the end of the season. Has been openly critisied for a few years now for his tactical ineptness with the USA.
Its a long shot but i would like us to grow with an upcoming younger manager, like Graham Potter. He took a small team in Sweden to two successive promotions playing attractive and hard pressing football with no real star players, just a very hard working with brilliant teamwork. They had their first top flight season this year and finished a respectable mid table having beaten champions Malmo 3-0 away along the way.
He will be in the premier league soon so why not with us?

HODDLE AS TV COMMENTATOR

Great little pass
Great little header
Great little back-heel
Great little run
Great little through ball

Sometimes he combines little with a bit
As in: they need a little bit more space

How can this man be touted as a great little manager when his vocabulary is so limited?

The right place at the right time

Hoddle.
Machini.
Hiddink.
De Boer.

Any off those will do.

I think Hoddle was England's last decent English manager.
Would love him at Palace.

you wouldn't say that if you watched the US team in the past 5 years. the team has regressed, while the players are actually better. he lost the confidence of players. he's a tactical dunce - i'm not a smart man by any means and i can see the glaring mistakes, again, and again.

JK would have palace relegated. he's pardew with a german accent and slightly better personality.

to be specific, here is why you don't want jurgen.

1. lost the locker room pretty early on. the same reports from philipp lahm were said by the players - very little direction and players were left to figure it out on their own.
2. stubborn: doesn't change tactics mid-game in response to the game being played. mexico's manager isn't very good but he adjusted in the last game. it was obvious and JK never adjusted and cost the game.
3. doesn't get the best out of his players. players almost all do better for their clubs than on the national team. this is the opposite of the history of american teams.
4. doesn't know the strengths of the team. forces them to do things that they don't do well.
5. punishes players for dumb things - tim howard deserved some time off. now he's 2nd chair to guzan, who isn't as good. other examples as well.

there are others. but his teams have lost the fight and spirit that makes the side what they are and have for many years. the US team will never be the most technically sound but good enough to bully the small concacaf teams. and that's been gone the past several years.

he's a fairly poor manager. he shouldn't be anywhere near a struggling team. if he's at a club with a lot of structure and really just needs a motivator and ambassador, he might do ok. but not where a club needs a lot of help.
