With Sam leaving we are in a temporary crisis and he would be the best answer.

We are only in a temporary crisis if Parish doesn't know what he is doing. All we know at the moment is that we don't know anything which isn't really anything new as far as our chairman goes. Two seasons ago our major signing was Connor Wickham which was all done without anyone getting wind of it.

Hopefully he is beavering away in the background without the media having a clue who he is talking to and he is about to give us all a pleasant surprise.

As you can see I'm in a glass half full mood today

Apparently doing a radio show with Rodney marsh. Any links for this radio station.

Marsh apparently co-presents Grumpy Pundits on SiriusXM:

Sorry I've just noticed that Ken has already replied.

But surely Parish isn't going all the way to NY for a radio programme when we need to appoint a manager? It must be a 'phone chat, if there's any truth in it, surely?

Personally I'd rather Parish took a day or two longer to recruit a good manager than just recruit any old manager. Otherwise we might as well get straight on the phone to Neil Warnock.

There is talk on the BBS that Parish is in NY today to talk to our Yankie investors so I assume he is doing this interview whilst there

really interesting to look at the former England managers, you would think that it would be one of the top jobs in the world with the top managers wanting it.
I cannot think of an ex England boss that I would want to manage at palace and that also includes the present ex palace defender(who couldn't wait to get out after relegation)southgate

You'd think that they could make use of technology to talk to each other.

The fact is (and it really is a fact) that Hodgson's record is phenomenal. What he did in Sweden was sensational, winning titles at Halmstad (basically a Leicester City story there) before moving to Malmo where he won shedloads and knocked top European teams out of European competition.

He's manager Inter Milan at a time they were in crisis and steadied the boat and is well liked there.

With Switzerland he took them to 3rd in th FIFA rankings, he made Finland competitive as a nation instead of the whipping boys.

There has been the odd debacle at Blackburn (first season they finished 6th by the way) and Liverpool but his exploits at Fulham and WBA were pretty decent, in fact more than decent in Fulham's case with an appearance in a European final!

Yes, it's fair to say his England performance, particularly in France has stained his reputation immeasurably. However, during qualifying he blitzed it.

Do I want him? At 70 in August I'd say no but only because I like the idea someone will be at the club in 5 years time. Who am I kidding though, that won't happen, it's Palace!

But age aside, to dismiss Hodgson as some sort of bumbling idiot is beyond harsh. His cv wipes the floor with anyone else we've been linked with and he is a Croydon boy. Be worried about long term planning is fair. Write him off for his football credentials is ignorant in the extreme!

Spot on

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Last time I looked this "talk" consisted of one person stating that he thought that SP was in New York today

Why do you think that. Not saying it won't be, just interested.

I have never spoken badly of Parish & Co but I would if this is what we end up with!

Then I'd move on and forgive them and like everyone else get behind whoever they think is the right man for the job.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

There is no chance what ever Woy will ever manage Crystal Palace while Parish is Chairman.
The question is will he continue to appoint British.
