We have had five seasons now to establish ourselves and yet still we struggle, we should and are perfectly capable of being a good average PL team, however what we lack is leadership at the top, we currently have chairman who is out of his depth, the situation we are in is because we have failed to secure cover upfront when the chairman was already fully aware that Wickham was going to be out until early next year at best and yet he allowed us to go forward with only one striker, he strings everything out to the last possible moment can't make decisions and when he does he gets a high percentage of them wrong!

Hi Den,
Hope your well.
I see your joining in and moaning about Parish.
Our club is doing well to try to compete in this league.
Parish has admitted his errors with Frank and the Strikers.
Continually going on about it achieves nothing.
As I’ve mentioned before there’s about 6 points difference between 8th and 17th come May.
So called established clubs such as Stoke and Everton are struggling at the moment.
Long way to go.
COYP.

Parish stated himself we are fine with wages and safe to being not on the edge of ffp so you need to stop looking at guess work stats all these figures online about how much people get is guessing.

do you think football clubs work by making big profit which then allows them to spend on players? no it doesn't work that way just take a look at all the big clubs in this country every one of them has loans/debts but they still go out and spend a lot.

the problem is parish doesn't want to spend out of his pocket so he is like you are saying he wants it all balanced out which any business person knows it doesn't work like that also his foolish choices end up making him pay out more with trying to delay things.

the club is in this state because it starts with owners downwards just look at other clubs that have struggled like this and even been relegated it's the same case awful owners.

the squad is not that great we have some name players but a lot of the squad is poor this is why people kept saying we needed minimum 5 new players how many was it we got 2 loan and 2 perm, one of them hardly gets any game time.

Mr Grumpy,
If Parish is an awful owner be careful who you wish for.
EG:-Leeds,Hull,Blackburn,Birmingham,Sunderland etc.

I could honestly care less about Parish admitting his mistakes. The issue is not Parish admitting or not admitting his mistakes, its Parish making those same mistakes, year after year after year. Regarding going on about it, that is everyone's prerogative you will find. Also - I want to see him gone, and the only way I can perhaps in some small way make that happen, is to keep going on about it.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

You want to see him gone!? I think you've been following American sport a bit too much. Maybe you'd like to see us change our name and move state while we're at it?
Parish is the best thing to happen to our club for a long while and is one of us. We don't just change things and ship him out because we've hit a period of hardship. This is where we stick together and battle our way out of the hardship. We're Crystal Palace FC, not Arsenal or Man United.

Whatever his mistakes - and we all make them every day don't we - I do not want to see SP gone.
He really does try and he loves CPFC as well.
As others have said - be careful what you wish for - there are many, many examples!!

Indeed. I find him very trying most of the time.

but did we have money for all the players you say after selling yannick? as havnt the club actually made a loss over the past few years, and actually borrowed from the next years PL cash cow money (risky buisness) just to keep up with the jones’ in transfer window with (i assume) the losses being made up by the owners.

also rudi we defo did not have to sign both schlupp & PVA in january we could have easily signed 1 of them and stayed up!

im not on any HOL radio agenda i just say things as i see them, but ive said every season all i want is for us to stay up on goal difference and would be over the moon with that, i think your older than me, im 35 so all ive ever known is midtable 2nd tier football with the odd flirtation with the big boys, thats why i dont expect the world, and would accept the bare minimum...im suprised you expect more than that given youve experienced curtis flemming/james scowcroft/andy morrison/tony craig/andy linaghan/frazier digby to name a few...f*** i forgot jamie pollock!

Pretty much agree with all of this, but Andy Linaghan did a bloody good job for us, at the end of his career when he cam to us, but better than what we had at that time, IMHO.

Trying on the last day for players teams want to and need to replace is perhaps not enough. Or there's just taking the chance it'll be alright without anyone.

The inevitability argument I've been making I actually see genuinely happening next season with all those players out of contract. I certainly don't see it as inevitable this season or last season.

But then again other teams forward plan and sell a big player with a change ready to adapt. We'd more likely just sign whoever is available in the papers after 3 games and work out a formula 12 games in after sacking another manager.

The more inevitability of next season makes this season a bit easier to take. Like not really getting carried away v Chelsea when you know we're effectively boxing one handed southpaw as a right hander.

Start looking for a championship manager who knows how to do things like Pulis and Allardyce do because we sure as hell can't. Oh and an acquiescent relationship isn't a successful one for long, unless Gary Neville takes over Parish's body.
