Good point about streams maybe it would be better to have a separate thread for streams and have the original Match Thread for comments on the game?

Many of the comments are hardly worthwhile including such things as "geddin" and "Eagles" and "go Zaha" etc

Would it not be better to have a match thread including requests for streams as well as running commentary and go back to the old days of "Back from the match" for more insightful analysis

Possibly, but a lot of those who post on the match day thread won't ever be "back from the match" as they weren't there in the first place, for geographical or other reasons. Surely everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether they were there or not?

Not sure what all this fan v fan stuff is about.

I have a season ticket and attend every time I am back in UK.
I can watch every game on a perfect HD stream in bars in Spain.
The difference is you cannot beat being there for the atmosphere and match experience and you can vent your frustrations more naturally. You get a better all round view of what is going on off and around the ball.
Watching every game on TV is great if you cannot be there and you get instant replays so you get a better idea of the controversial incidents instantly.
So you know for sure we have been robbed before anyone at the game .

Anyone who follows Palace wherever or however is a fan.

Is this an example of insightful comments of someone who attended the match?

As I mentioned in another thread last month, I've been a member of this forum for over six years and until someone mentioned the chat room last month I didn't realise that there was one.

You may be right that it could do with more prominence and promotion
