If he really doesn't want to come then we can do little about that. However, I don't want him to rot in Inter's reserves. I want him to come to us and be happy. I see him achieving double figure assists and perhaps netting a few goals of his own. BTE, have Zenit actually offered him terms? I wonder if this is just agent leverage - tactics that might take this to Wednesday night to see who blinks first? I suspect it will be us. The colour of money will be shown; and he will transfer on deadline day on "undisclosed" terms.

I would have thought a player were bonkers to insist on a club solely because of the manager. If Mancini goes for any reason what then? What if Zenit then appoint a proper muppet? Managers are not exactly permanent fixtures.

Sometimes I wonder who's behind some news. We've a clear example surrounding Eder, Sturridge and Liverpool interest. We must be careful... Others want that we make what it's best for theirs interest not ours! Edited by Portuguese (25 Jan 2018 2.15pm)

Hold on a minute... if Liverpool want to move Sturridge onto Inter and Eder doesn't want to join us and the Ruskies can't afford Eder then why don't we just cut out the middle man and go direct for Sturridge? I think I'd prefer him to Eder anyway.

I agree Dembele would be a more cost attractive choice and certainyl one for the future, but I am just saying I would prefer Sturridge to Eder. Also, wasn't Sturridge going to move to Inter on loan followed by an option to buy? If he ripped up trees for Palace then all of a sudden £30m incl loan fee (more likely figure IMO) would actually be a bit of a snip.
