How long will the trade deals take to negotiate and can you elaborate on how these deals be better than the ones we have being in the EU?

We already export more goods and services to non-EU than EU. WTO while bilaterals are negotiated.

Or put another way, who is recirculating fake news or who is telling the truth?

That's one of the problems with Brexiteers. They seek to reduce everything to sound bites, which might appeal to readers of the Sun or the Daily Wail but doesn't stand critical examination.

Critical examination of a complex subject like whether to be a member of the EU demands time and knowledge. That's why we employ MPs.

Those that just scream £350 million per week for the NHS from the side of a bus, or that democracy is threatened because people want their Parliament to do their job, or that "leave means leave" don't really have the best interests of their country at heart. If they did they would welcome the chance to demonstrate the validity of their position. But no, they are just worried that in the last 2 years enough people have woken up, smelled the coffee and concluded that an error was made in 2016.

At this point I am looking forward to learning whatever label you are about to be given.

I’m sure you are a Wiener schnitzel. Almost certainly a hailstone I’ll warrant.

I very much doubt whether "poor trade deals" was the reason for anyone voting Brexit but I'm quite sure that we can match them.

We already have the framework for trade deals as we can use the existing EU agreements as a starting point

More evidence of which direction the EU is heading in.

It just reinforces my belief that the status quo for Remainers is not on the table.

Quote France and Germany agree to establish common positions and issue joint statements on major EU issues - formalising their existing co-operation. They also plan to act as a joint force at the United Nations.

Wasn't it George Orwell who wrote that All EU countries are equal but some are more equal than others?

Who said the deals we have are poor?

The fact is whether being outside the EU would better for us? Why would other countries give a better deal to a smaller consumer?

One reason could be we have more flexibility than the EU.

Example:
EU wants a deal with Country A. Country A wants to export their fruit and veg to the EU. EU will only allow in limited volumes to protect its Mediterranean countries. Country A will only allow restricted exports from the EU because of this so a deal may not happen as neither side gets what it wants.

UK wants to do a deal with Country A we are happy to take their fruit and veg because it doesn't impact our farmers, in return Country A is happy to allow us to export our stuff.

Its not all about size although that helps.

One for the Remainers.

As I predicted a few weeks ago the site for EU citizens to register went live today and is a shambles. LBC have been trying this morning to go through the process with a volunteer and so far no joy.

I expect the tabloids will highlight this later today.

Nick Ferrari is doing his nut.

Mind you EU citizens have been complaining including several Italians who don't seem to release that the reverse process of a Brit in Italy is far more complicated and costs hundreds of pounds according to a friend who is doing it now.
