A new rumour on twitter says that RB Leipzig have now offered 18 + 4 euros. About £16m plus 3.5m.

"Leipzig,Alexander Sörloth teklifini arttırdı. Yeni teklif
18 milyon Euro + 4 milyon Euro bonus (Toplamda 22 milyon Euro)"

Not sure if it will be enough to tempt us, if true.

I don't know the ins and outs, but if trabzonspor has a right to buy after next season, then we would have to pay them, as well.

Let's face it if we was getting that amount of money solely, then he would be sold tomorrow.

If you could have him back but it'd cost another 7m, would you do it? For the sale of argument, 3 year contract extension.

No. No. No.. If someone wants to buy him then we should get rid. Having no striker is better than having Sörloth back in the team.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Respect for putting the accent on his name.

It’s actually Sørloth though. Ö is the German umlaut.

What rubbish. Don't you know how much confidence and mental headspace has to do with performance. It's no coincidence that he wasn't valued and got the odd few minutes with us, so didn't perform...but is thriving in a team where he's played and wanted.

I know it's a worse league...but response like this is pretty short sighted. I'd have him back just to quell the curiousity of whether he could make it or not.

we only need to pay the Turks for breaking the loan contract. They paid £5m for the 2 years (to cover his wages essentially) so can see it being a similar sum.

You could be correct but not from what I saw of him, he was very poor. I seem to remember that he was considered poor when he went on loan in Belgium and people were delighted when Trabzonspor came in for him.

If we had him back and he was just as poor, he value would drop back again.

Exactly. Is that a risk worth taking if we do have a decent offer on the table?

I think Sorloth could cut it in the prem. The bigger question is whether he could cut it in the prem in a Roy team. I suspect he himself isn't sure.

He has looked ok first vs NI tonight. A goal and an assist. Some good movement and a physical presence. What might have been
