Interesting jousting between Sturgeon and Johnson.

Sturgeon was saying yesterday his visit wasn't essential travel, or even necessary. Seeing as Scotland's restrictions are a tad tougher than England's, I kind of get it. She's running the show very well, (or at least better than England) and we don't need Westminster bumpkins bringing CV19 here.

But Boris was taking the opportunity of promoting the UK and undermining any Indyref2. Which country invented the vaccine ? And the UK PM won't be told where he can and can't go by wee jimmy krankie.

discuss, or dismiss ?

If Krankie has decided another Indyref is to held ( legal or other) then I think Boris can legitimately say his business is essential to put the UKs case.
Can you imagine if Boris had not visited at anytime “ he doesn’t care about Scotland, he is only interested in England etc” can’t have it all ways Krankie. Perhaps Boris is pulling a flanker

Exactly.

The SNP push the narrative that Westminster / government doesn't care about the Scots and doesn't understand their problems. So when Boris visits that tune changes to stop interfering you're not welcome.

As for how she is doing with the virus. Well she has played a PR blinder but if you noticed her strategy is to listen to Sage and then rush to do it before the rest of the UK so basically she is following the same advice as Boris.

And of course she forgets to mentioned that Scotland has been given billions by the rest of the UK to fight this thing.

To be fair you don't exactly need to rush to implement anything before Johnson makes a decision.

Would love to know exactly what it is he would have to do before you realised he was completely inept and massively out of his depth.

His trip today is just panic as he doesn't want the break up of the Union to be on his record as PM.

As a matter of interest Dan, who would YOU have dealing with all this pandemic crap, seeing as you think BoJo is 'inept'?

Almost anyone but him. There are plenty of sensible politicians on both sides of the house that are far better suited to crisis management. Any of his predecessors would do better.

As Matov has said - Johnson has the 'special sauce' to win elections, but when it comes to actually doing the job he is woefully out of his depth and completely suitable for the crisis we are in.

The track record over the last 12 months completely speak for himself.

Tbf, Mrs Krankie has the easier job. Scotland has a population of about 5.5 million whereas BoJo has ten times that figure to manage.

But any Tory PM would not have been good enough for you would it? Would you have preferred Dianne Abbott to be in the Cabinet at this time?

Depends who it is. There are some competent and decent Tory MPs. Unfortunately not many of them in the actual cabinet.
