A lot of it is too much teams behind the ball. I don’t miss it much and I wonder why people lob sky a grand a year to watch it.

We’re an established Premier League side now, in our 8th? consecutive season in potentially the best League in the world. The likes of Ronald Koeman went to manage Southampton, as did Pochettino and Marcelo Bielsa managed Lazio and Lille in his two appointments immediately prior to taking over at a bottom half Championship side from West Yorkshire. Who is to say any of the names are fanciful?! We actually don’t know and it wouldn’t hurt to be ambitious if we mean to push on.

He was clearly talking about his approach to the game and his satisfaction with the point bearing in mind Fulham had been playing well, we had a number of players out injured and because he ‘knew’ we were going to be under pressure for large parts of the game... “Nil Nil I think was the best we were going to be able to get today...and we got it”. Koeman took over a Southampton team that had finished 8th the previous season under Pochettino.A club with a well-renowned academy that have produced good players over the years, modern stadium which attracted 31,000 crowds and a good infrastructure. Pochettino was virtually unheard of in this country when he was appointed manager of Southampton, after leaving Espanyol who were bottom of the table. Apropos Bielsa at Lazio and Lille,he resigned after a few days at Lazio and left Lille after a few months.
