We have had a favourable route through to the finals ...we've played a Weak Germany Side, Ukraine - the worst team in the last 16 and an impassioned Tough team in the Danes(just look at Italys route for comparison) - but to use that as a criticism is harsh.
As the old Cliche goes; you can only beat what's put in front of you. And this England Squad have not only done that but done that with some style.

I must question and disagree with the bit in bold. The issue for many, myself included, is that we just absolutely drab to watch.

We were totally dominating a weary looking Denmark for about 50 minutes, we get ahead and he instantly shuts up shop by taking our most creative and fresh player off and bringing on a defender - it just invites pressure. He's made some bizarre calls throughout the tournament and so far got away with it. Mancini vs Southgate is a mis match tactically but Southgate has the better players so might come out on top.

I will commend GS for getting the media on side and bringing the love and feel good factor to the national side. The players look more motivated than previous teams and he must get credit for that too.

Well, if I'm wrong I'm wrong.....and hopefully we are both wrong on the final with Italy.

I think ability wise we are about fourth or fifth in Europe.....really it's a damning indictment on the Premier league that we aren't first by some margin.
Could that be down to the fact that the majority of the players in the EPL are NOT English?

Yep, the numbers of English qualified players is set too low.

We don't need or want to win by cheating.

I just hope the fact that it was inevitably highlighted (had to be of course) doesn't give other morons similar ideas in the final.

In my opinion some very harsh opinions here on Southgate.

Thinks he’s been pretty spot on so far. I’d say the biggest problem he’s faced has been turning the national team into a team who believes, after decades of underachieving. We now play like we want to and can win and that’s refreshing.

I get he’s plays conservatively, but he’s there to manage not entertain.

Well put. With England it's often been as much about mindset as ability, and Southgate quietly conveys a certain reassurance and belief.

Who knows how the final will go, but of course getting there in the first place is no formality and we've now managed that.

Ok, by Style I didn't mean literally exciting to watch style, but that everything has looked comfortable, and in control. the Group stages were drab; but they were drab across the board, and once we'd gotten the all important win vs croatia, not losing became the priority.
Since then, against every opponent we have been confident, patient and at times very dangerous, and I would disagree - I don't think we have been drab to watch in the knockout stages, certainly when compared to some previous tournaments. OK, we're not France or Spain - but hows it worked for them?

Southgates methods may confuse us, but I can't see how people can criticise what he's doing at the moment.
1st final in a major tournament since '66,
1st time we've beaten the Germans in a major tournament since '66 (don't underestimate that acheivement)
We've let in 1 goal. scored 8, and if Kane scores one in the final, he'd tied for Golden boot.

I'm not really sure what else he can do?

Yes, I'd say that if there's any time to pause the critiques, look to the positives and get behind the team and manager, it's right before the final of our first major tournament final since '66. It's often the English way though, to delve the depths of anything remotely positive and dredge up a litany of perceived negatives.

Who knows how Sunday will go, and how decisions made on the day or prior to it will feed into it, but hopefully we'll all be cheering our boys on regardless of opinions this way or that.

Despite our dominance last night we sneaked through on an own goal and a penalty that shouldn't have been given.
This group of players could be so much more entertaining, given the licence to do so.
Southgate makes Roy look adventurous.
Like Belgium, we have really good players with an average manager.
Imagine this group managed by someone of the vision of Clough, Ferguson, Peak Wenger, Pep, or Luis Enrique, even Klippity klopp.
Our FA has the money to employ a coach of that ilk, but always go for the safe option.
Fair play for getting to the final, I just feel we are being short changed.

Have just seen that there was a second ball on the pitch at the time of the 'alleged' foul.

And close to the action as well.

Talk about getting away with one Denmark understandably furious.

I'm stunned that you feel this way.

There must be some way for you to complain to the EU......though I will say that while we were the better side we also had the rub of the green....and I will never be ok with diving.

And that laser pen basstard nearly took it away.

People say you need luck to win tournaments. We've had some luck here.
