Timelord becomes Gaylord.

It's not really that he is black or gay that is the issue.

It is that someone at the BBC purposefully planned to employ this person in a noteworthy role specifically because they were Black and gay.

We know that Russell T Davis likes to shoe horn in as many gay moments as possible and this sometimes works to good effect as with Touchwood. However, this show should not be about wokeism or sexuality, but rather a kid's introduction to Sci Fi that grown ups can enjoy at the same time.

Sadly, the minority brigade at the BBC have taken over and now see it as their mission in life to 'educate' the population in a way that only the most arrogant blinkered egotists could imagine would be appropriate.

What have the viewing figures been like? That would be the main consisderation, are people watching Dr Who as entertainment?

As if the Daleks weren't evil enough they'll go to a new level of badness in the next series when they refuse to take the knee before The Doctor.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

That was my point. Since David Tennant left the figures have been in steady decline and dropped quite a bit under Peter Calpadi. The BBC had a choice cancel the show or do something dramatic. They chose to convert the doctor to a woman and initially the figures went up a bit but as her reign progressed i think they have declined again.

The Beeb will no doubt claim that the viewing figures are still good but the show is expensive to make and goes out on a Saturday night so should do better.

As I said in my first post good luck to the lad I think he is on a sinking ship.

What would you say if i used this is the producers way of moving Dr Who onto to new viewers and the worlds changed?

A female friend pointed out to me that if the current Doctor is such a feminist why does she need so many male assistants.

I guess somebody has to change the lightbulb in the Tardis.

I would say the viewing figures will answer your question. If they go up and stay up then Russell Davies got it right.

I am no longer the target audience due to my age but I think Doctor Who forgot it's a kids show.

Still no point arguing the numbers don't lie so I guess we shall see. However it will be a tough job to turn around a show that has been in decline for 10 years.

That's two gay Doctors on the trot...is that really coincidental?...apparently the gay percent in the country is under five percent. If it isn't ideological I don't have an issue with an actor's sexuality though you notice that the Davies fella is also part of that five percent.

As a percent it's probably more a reflection of the entertainment industry and definitely the BBC itself.

Isnt the Dr asexual? Yaz in eve of the Daleks was in love with the Dr. Shouldnt Dr Who represent these themes?

Was the Rosa Parks episode wrong?

Of course it's ideological. You know your Gramsci. This is the point. The march through the institutions.

Bring it on I say. The BBC should be encouraged to think it can still pull this kind of stunt. It clearly believes that the calls for the abolishing of the licence fee are all froth and as such, wants to rub our noses in its Soc.Lib dogma.

And little by little, swells the ranks of those who would happily pay for it to be abolished. Coming to the conclusion that in the same way UKIP then the Brexit Party pushed the notion of us leaving the EU, then the same needs to be done with the Beeb. A single issue political movement that can build up enough of a head of steam to dictate political change.

Let's hope that the next Dr is not only non-white and homosexual but ideally Trans with it and in a wheelchair. A Sci-fi version of 'Ironside'.

It was nauseatingly woke.

Dr Who is not meant to be a simple minded guide to the history of race relations.

White kids are being brainwashed to hate themselves and care more about everybody else's interests over their own.

It's truly perverse. You don't need a kids sci fi show to preach about American racial segregation.

I should remind you that there were some sections of Black activism that supported segregation. Life is not simple enough to be dramatized for the purposes of politically prejudiced education.
