I have a soft spot for JPM, seems a decent fella and I think he has some value in front of goal. My overriding feeling however is that we do need better than him. I would certainly sanction his departure if it meant we were bringing in a replacement. Wouldn't expect the replacement to be much better but you never know. Yes, i feel the same, i think he is better than Edouard, i know thats not saying much, but i would rather Edouard went, and Mateta on the bench as cover for Haaland

I thought previously that we could not get anyone in until we shipped players out. This deal may come too late to secure semenyo.

JP is a character and I really wanted him to do well. But he's simply not good enough.

Supporters can only form a judgement based on his performances on the field of play and the vast majority of his appearances in the PL have been from off the bench. I see a player with a positive mental attitude on the pitch, encouraging his team mates and a player who keeps running and trying and not hanging his head akin to a despondent mule when matters are not going his way.
