Provided your vehicle meets the ULEZ emission standards you do not pay, otherwise you have to clean up your act and Londoners inhabitants do not have to inhale your poison. Why are London Boroughs spending millions of taxpayers money opposing it, I think tfl can override them anyway. Mayor Khan doing the right, not popular, thing. He'd do better to cut down on the pollution created by the number of ambulances needed for stabbing victims.

So lets get this right....you steeleye, NEVER go in a car a bus a coach or a lorry?? EVER? You are a saint? If you have ever been in any of the above vehicles then you are a complete hypocrite, enjoy the extra costs of your food etc when the delivery companies pass on the costs of the ludicrous ULEZ TAX to you!

I read a study by Imperial College London, that in 2019 in Bromley alone, toxic air was a primary cause of death in 204 cases. Quite extraordinary I never associated Bromley with any at all. And toxins in the air damage you mentally as well as physically all the time. A silent killer.

Isn't the reason people drive old cars that they can't afford newer ones? Doesn't matter to Khan. Tax the poor.

I think Mayor Khan is seeking re-election for a third time? There is no point in binning millions of taxpayers cash in fruitless court actions, that is the time for people to vote. My bet is that he will win the argument. Surely it is your responsibility to run a clean and non-toxic vehicle complying with the ULEZ emissions standard. It cannot be anything but beneficial for Londoners.

If it really was about air quality then those vehicles would simply be banned. But they are not, If they pay they can go in. Ergo its a tax pure and simple.
